I requested a delivery to be left at the premises if unattended and included this in the delivery address line. I also requested safe drop via the link sent by AusPost to ensure this occurred. It didn't. I was left a card stating the package was large and heavy, precisely why I asked for it be delivered and left. When I called, customer service basically said it was at the drivers discretion if they choose to leave or not, despite instructions provided by me, THE CUSTOMER!! I requested that the package be re-delivered next business day & left, as per the instructions. Was then told they had checked google street view and said that they weren't entirely sure if the premises looked secure enough, so they wouldn't be doing that I had to now collect during business hours. I work in the city. Terrible, Terrible Service. I now have to take time off work to collect the package from the post shop and I am unlikely to be able to carry it from the shop to the car and then car to the premises. Thanks Aust Post - well done

Very poor customer service. They don’t know how to do their job properly, not much help when you ask . They don’t seem to care or know about their work.

Like many other reviewers, I was home all day, never got a knock on the door, then found a card in the mailbox for a very large box I was waiting to be delivered. No missed calls. I went to the PO and found I needed 2 people to pick it up and complained. They said they would deliver it the next day. Post office staff called next day to say the driver "said" he attempted delivery. I didn't leave my home all day and work at a desk right next to the front door. Now they say I need to go back and get it. Poor customer service attitude from staff at Balmain Post office. Judging from these reviews they'd never survive if it were a commercial business.

Paid hundreds of dollars for expedited shipping of a package, and yet all the tracking page states is, "Unsuccessful delivery" and "no response". I was at home for two days (when they supposedly attempted delivery) yet I did not see a single postman nor did I receive any calls. Nobody rang the doorbell either. How is that even an "attempt" to deliver my package? And now I am required to collect the item from the post office even though I specifically paid for doorstep delivery. Thanks for nothing.

Didn't bother to attempt delivery of a package - home all day and found a card in the mailbox saying I had a package to collect from the post office. Extra frustrating because I paid extra for express post.
