Have to love the fact it took officers 4 hours and 45 minutes to arrive on scene, call, leave a message then leave. Who cares about the fact that I had told them there was a violent individual outside my door who was indeed threatening violence. Good job police force of NZ, absolute useless bunch.
Very gentle when putting handcuffs on. Room was lacking decorations, but bed was really comfortable. Excellent room service. Food was very high quality as I could taste all the varies spices. Indeed enjoyed my stay and looking forward to my next stay.
I was indecently assaulted at the end of 2019 but because it wasn't of my so-called private parts, the police refused to take action claiming that no offense had been committed. I know it didn't meet the threshold for indecent assault but they could have at least charged the guy with common assault. A man was charged with common assault just for touching a woman's arm. This is clearly a double standard based on gender.
The police is a kind of band but dont mistaken You have to pretend more in a band." As Rolling Stone wrote in 2013, "tensions began bubbling over as Sting took control of the band. The others began to feel like his employees and they began fighting like crazy, even as the band got bigger and bigger." Sting left the Police in 1984, effectively disbanding them.30/06/2020 The police is okay,. they are fast and very useful at times but maybe sometimes they are late. Overall, very good!
Very unhelpful. When I reported a vehicle crash for a hit and run driver that crashed into me, I was just told to fill out a form, and then fobbed off. Even when I told them the location of the camera that the footage should be reviewed from, they said they were too busy to contact the relevant department to get the footage reviewed before it was deleted. They are not concerned with helping victims at all and we shouldn't have apathetic people like that working in a public service role. I very much doubt they will review the footage and really doubt anything will be done at all.
As foreigners we experienced the contact / responses with multiple officers / offices as quick and quite friendly as it is the usual „Kiwi“ way but rather not helpful. It wasn’t possible to follow the logic of some explanations for their decisions since considering basic law knowledge / logic lead to other conclusions on our site. Once there was the thought on our site that we as foreigners / visitors might have been treated differently than locals with less effort.
Went to report stolen bicycles. The lady immediately rattled on about whether or not we had the serial numbers intimating that if we did not have the serial numbers, there was absolutely nothing they could do. All we wanted to do was provide them with cctv footage of the incident. Once we got past her interjection and explained we didn't expect recovery we just wanted to give them the footage in case it could be used to build a case in the future. She then proceeded to tell us they were unable to take the footage from us until we had a case number which she suggested we go away and do online. Not only were we victims of crime but we were trying to do the right thing and help the community and police out in the case of a future incident. Absolutely useless and not a wonder that people are reluctant to go to the police for help.
As a victim of 5 burglaries breaks in and 1 car theft in 1 year, someone who grieves over lost belongings and memories with broken sense of security I have to say their service is beyond awful. Don't even bother lodging and reporting because All they can tell you is to try their best which they never do anyway. Forensics can't prove jack. Got a A4 paper saying catching the offender's chance is slim and it's highly unlikely for him to get convicted. Deep disappointment. Sometimes makes you wonder which side they are on. What a joke. Bet all those times got wasted writing up tickets for no good reasons. You will have better chance with insurance co.
Got pulled over leaving my mates house with a little too much to drink. They took my keys and said pick them up in the morning. Great people just trying to keep everyone safe. Props to these guys for at least giving the benefit of the doubt.
I wish to thank you all concerned for what you did for me. LOST and FOUND my husband is now back home recovering. Thanks to all concerned. You kept me in constant communication and you are such wonderful people. 3days of stress and worry turned out without tradegy Thank you all once again.
