Every Sunday at 10am we get together from all over Auckland to celebrate and reflect on what it means to be a Christian. We sing songs that express our adoration. We explore the Bible’s perspective on issues facing us today. We pray. And we share in life’s highs and lows.

Currently I am looking for a church where I will receive inspiration towards christian living. How to overcome struggle, receive support while in need. The review by Ms Dixit is bit alarming1. Do I want to visit a church whose Pastor is too busy to provide support?

My mother was dying of cancer.  It was almost two years ago.  I am the only Christian in my family. I got converted by a kind of a miracle. My Hindu family has persecuted for me for my faith my whole life. The persecution was increasing at the time that mum was dying of cancer because she was starting to turn to Christ.  I have been living in Australia as I had to escape severe family persecution but came home for my mother's illness and death. I had few Christians around me.  A year or two earlier I had spoken to Tim over a coffee, the minister of this church, and he had been very helpful over a couple of thoughts I've had about work and career. I hadn't contacted him since that one coffee, and certainly was not relying on him for anything subsequent to that one conversation. I reached out to him by email in the days that mum was due to die - literally in that week. He told me he was too busy and sent his secretary to meet me.  I will withhold her name. I found her quite harsh. She rebuked me for expressing sadness that mum wasn't going to see me get married and have children. She replied to me by saying God never promised you that, that's not in the Bible. I told her that I wasn't saying that God promised me that I was just expressing normal human emotion. She also corrected me for praying for healing. I think she meant well, but she just didn't have the human touch and abilities required to deal with someone in an extremely stressful situation. I know her heart was in the right place. The day or two before mum died I reached out to Tim by email and asked him if we could meet for prayer or at least just a phone call.   He said he was swamped and too busy and told me to ring another church. I replied to him I tried the other church he recommended but no one was available.    He ignored this email. I sent Tim a couple of brief emails after mum died to inform him. He ignored all the emails I sent him after she died. I didn't confront any of this, but sent a bible passage about "how you treat the least of these my brothers".

Character is how you treat people who have nothing to give you. If he knew my testimony he wouldn't see me is completely worthless.

I just want to leave a story here of how I met Anna and she prayed for me.
She prayed for my business to be blessed.
I asked her what is the name of your church and she said abc church and I said that's interesting my business is abc carpet cleaning isn't that a Devine appointment from god she was such a woman of God.
I want to now visit your church in Ellerslie.
