This botanic garden has fantastic scenery and the cherry blossoms are iconic to visit in very first of spring. It is free on weekdays but adults should pay $4 in weekends. There are some free parking spaces outside the park but we waited for 20 minutes to find one which shows they aren’t enough for weekends. Sightseeing was pleasant mostly because of some brides and grooms in Korean traditional suits, were celebrating their weddings here. Memorable experience for us.
Place is free for locals in the Cumberland Council. $6 for non-locals. Photogenic for events like weddings. Japanese Garden and a mini zoo. Great place to spend an afternoon with the family. The geese here are cheeky and always nice seeing the peacocks roam freely. The cherry blossoms are a sight to enjoy can't wait to catch it again this year.
The best time of the year to go is right before the cherry blossom festival that they run, trying to dodge all the people and take photo is def hard work, especially when Asian old ladies would just walk right in to your shot and start posing. I would recommend to go during a weekday. The place is well managed and the entry fee is fairly cheap.
A hidden gem in the heart of Auburn. Auburn Botanic Gardens is a great spot to spend time and enjoy the beauty of the place with friends and family. It unexpectedly provides a relaxing atmosphere to refresh. It’s small zoo is an amazing experience for children. Free parking on spot. Entry fee is 6$ but it’s Free for Auburn City Council residents and people under 16. Highly recommended!!!
Botanical garden is the best place for family picnic.. there are some restaurants inside the park where you can get something to eat and at the end of the park there is a butterfly madams where the shows are hosting with fun and food..park is very large. Some people are trying to draw the beauty of nature on the paper… carry your food with you and you can spend the whole day at the park… you can host your picnic plans with your family and friends at this park… we feel relaxed and energetic at this park want to spend more time there
Fee - Adult 7$ If you wish to see Cherry Blossoms these days, visited on 11th Sept mind that there are no cherry blossoms by now. There are few crab apple blossoms trees. But the garden house many different trees flowers and an artificially grown rain forest. It’s well built garden with a Japanese garden, Rose garden no flowers yet, a scented garden, Australian Native garden and Native animal enclosure. Most of the trees have a plaques with its name, family, common name. A big fish pond is located inside Japanese garden. The water looked black and polluted. But there were big carp fish if you like to see. I was surprised to see a pride of peacocks roaming freely inside the garden. They are free to fly outside and saw a one crossing the road . Kangaroos, wallabies and emus was there in the animal enclosure. Good place to have picnics, to bring kids and take photos. Park have accessible roads. No nearby place to buy food or snacks. There was outside ice cream van, which accepts cash only. But accepted a bank transfer since we did not have cash.

Food chart are also available at the said event.
It's a good place to spend a couple of hours. Easy paths with few steps. It's got some nice Chinese gardens that make beautiful backdrop for photos ..water features ..animals..park for kids and ample space to walk around. There isn't much to do per say..but it's a good getaway for young families or u have folks visiting for om overseas and you wanted to show them some Australian animals ..flora and fauna. It's ticketed very reasonably..but free only for Cumberland residents from the sign I read. Would suggest bringing in a picnic or a brekky and enjoy a nice day. There isn't much shade here..so avoid on rainy days. There's plenty of shade so still good on sunny days.
Well maintained Japanese Style Garden. Small collection of emu, kangaroo, wallabies, Koi fish and peacocks. Beautiful grass area for picnic, children's play area and picnic ground outside. Reasonable fee for non residents over the weekend. Children enjoy it a lot here. I would recommend visiting. If possible try for a period with cherry blossom not free though.
First time here but heard good things about this garden. Nice Japanese garden and also enjoyed the Australian garden and wildlife enclosure. The Koa fish are huge and plenty. Saw plenty wildlife including water Minotaur, scrub Turkey, Ibis in natural habitat and not around bins, various ducks and birds. There's warning of snakes. I only wish there was a cafe nearby or on site but we enjoyed the gardens and will return. I suggest to take food and have a picnic when you visit. Keep up the good work Cumberland Council!
