You still have a full functioning gym with 4 lifting platforms and up to 5 squat racks. And if you are totally new to exercise that's ok too! At Ruben’s is probably the best gym experience I’ve had, everyone is SO lovely and knowledgeable. I never felt comfortable going to gyms, especially as a woman I was very intimidated but spending time at Ruben’s has been great. The small group personal training has been an amazing and affordable way to better understand my mobility and work closely with trainers on strength and equipment use. The community is wonderful and I especially love the diversity in ages which makes everyone feel super comfortable
Training @ Ruben’s has transformed my fitness and kept me motivated to get the gym regularly for the past 3 years. The trainers are warm, friendly, professional and hugely knowledgeable about all things fitness. The community feel and small scale nature of the gym, make for a comfortable and welcoming training experience. If you’re considering joining a gym in the Marrickville area, I highly recommend you check out Ruben’s!
I’ve really enjoyed the Personal Training sessions at Ruben’s. PT was individualised and well tailored to help meet my goals. I didn’t take advantage of the classes as they didn’t fit around my chaotic shifts & training patterns. All the staff are friendly and approachable- and you’ll no doubt meet the warm, friendly, but very energetic Ruben himself as he’s always in there running a class, doing a PT session or just manning the stations . The warehouse style gym has has a no pressure vibe… excellent for both people well into training or thinking about making those first daunting moves to becoming healthier.
Excellent gym. The team are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, there are a wide variety of great classes, and also a range of equipment that is never too crowded for when you're doing your own workout. A really friendly atmosphere and great value for money.
When I moved to Marrickville I was wondering where I could train comfortably, close to home, with all the essentials required. Ruben's came up, I went and tried out for a test day and signed up straight away. I was on the 'lift only' membership and it was a beauty! Unlimited gym access, 24/7. The staff is also super friendly and helpful too. Sadly I am moving states so I wont be attending anymore.
An amazing gym. Super supportive and motivating, all the staff are incredibly knowledgable and the classes are great. It’s a really welcoming and friendly environment, suits beginners as much as experts. Great community feel
I was quite apprehensive and self conscious about training and @Rubens has been the perfect fit for me. There is no judgement and there are people of all different levels of fitness working together. Ruben has been motivating and encouraging and made me feel at home from day one. I do PT and have trained with Silas and Ruben and could not speak highly enough of both of them. Their knowledge and dedication is unquestionable and they have motivated me to improve my overall fitness and health whilst also having fun. I 100% recommend @Rubens to anyone wanting a positive change in their health and fitness!
Fab gym with super staff. Before joining Ruben’s, I never really enjoyed my gym experiences and rarely stuck with them. The classes at Ruben’s are fun and motivating. All instructors want you to do your personal best and push you to improve - in a really supportive way. It’s such a friendly place, not intimidating at all. I’ve improved my physical AND mental health thanks to Ruben and his team.
My wife and I are visiting Sydney for two weeks and we're spending ten days in Marrickville. My wife found @ Ruben's for me as they offer a $30/week full access trial pass. I applied with full disclosure that I'm only here temporarily and had such a great sign up process with a lovely staff member over the phone. They were completely okay with me joining for seven days at that great price. Since then I've been every day doing boxing classes, most at 545am and also at 930am. I've trained under Sandi, Mandy, Ruben and Silas. All the coaches are awesome and super friendly and encouraging. I love the atmosphere of the gym, real community feel, no fancy stuff, just good equipment, good bag area and lovely people. We're falling in love with Marrickville and @ Ruben's has been a great part of my stay. Highly recommended A+++
Perfect gym for the working professional, perfect age demographic, staff very well trained. Best gym I have ever been to in Sydney by far. Great mix of classes or if you just want to do free weights in the open plan set up. My wife who has always been hesitant to go to a gym loves it.
