We love Ashfield Aquatic Centre.nIt's a great place to come for a swim whether it's for exercise, hydrotherapy, family fun, or just to cool down. There's something for everyone!
Sunday 13th October 2024.nFamily splash day with Terry the turtle.nnI consider this to be the best aquatic centre in the area. Staff are super friendly and the facilities are near new. The gym is awesome and the steam room/sauna/spa are well maintained. A great place to bring the family or to get your lift on in the gym. Five star.
Great pool facilities, amenities also great- showers in pool area and change rooms. Staff super helpful!nLockers available inside and outside change room. Just be aware of events that limit lane use if you go for lap swimming swim clubs on Sat morn and some other days. Only wish casual use of sauna and spa wasn’t so pricey! But the times entry is needed as it gets busy.
The aquatic center gives good access to a range of fitness options with the pools, gym and fitness classes. However, the gym is not well equipped, the facility is not clean and most staff seem to have their head in the clouds, the lockers in the bathroom often malfunction and need to be reset. The gym is missing basic equipment like assisted muscle up, hip thrust and inverted leg press machines. There are lots of marks on the falls and walls. There is also damage to the bathroom roof. Also they don’t use wipes for equipment they only have paper towel and disinfectant spray which inefficient and messy.nnSee photos for pools, fitness rooms, damaged bathroom roof, dirty falls and wall.nnI had a nice experience with classes and the pools look nice. These are definitely the main strength of this fitness facility.
My only complaint is that we didn't know about this venue sooner! Both indoor and outdoor pools are excellent. Great facilities, and still feels new, including spa and sauna, clean and well lit change rooms, friendly staff, and a gym upstairs. Plenty of parking with the additional car park next door. Reasonably priced.
