The ladies do their best Devonshire Tea, with a fresh scone, jam, cream and tea or drink of your choice. Always a friendly smile and fresh scones. So quaint! Love to support them, especially on special occasions like Christmas but always open during week days.
A cute, welcoming space with lovely staff and volunteers. It has so many great social activities at affordable prices. A lot of them are held during weeknights and weekends.
I arrived at the correct address but couldn't get into the centre. There were no signs to tell me where to get it. This made me late & flustered for the musical group I was meant to be playing with. Also embarrassing. Not the state in which I wanted to meet new people.
I attend regular group meetings here. The meeting room is comfortable with tables and chairs available for free. Hot water and cups available in room hire. Library access across foyer. Clean modern facilities and toilets.Very reasonable room hire fees. A top spot for meetings.
Viva la Bookfest! I recently attended this event at the community house - it was fantastic. Some great activities, including presentations by writers, and opportunities to create 'black-out' poetry. Plus lovely, helpful volunteers and Devonshire tea. A brilliant way to spend a Saturday.
