under new management, very friendly staff,a nice atmosphere and all the food was great, especially the sushi and sashimi was super fresh! and tempura was crispy and delicious. highly recommended!will definitely come back again.
Delicious, fresh Japanese food in a cosy setting. The tempura was super crispy, the gyoza were full of flavour and the sashimi was super fresh. Will definitely be back!
Always a great time! Staff are incredibly friendly and hospitality is lovely! Dogs welcome outside which we love and they always turn the heater on as requested. Food is tasty and I’ve tried quite a few things on the menu! Great local restaurant for the community.
Wonderfully fresh and delicious range of sushi and sashimi. We have been coming to this local eatery on and off since they opened many years ago but never thought to post a review, however recent changes to management has brought the food and the service up to a new level so we’ll definitely be coming back more often!! Well done!
Have eaten there often but never again after last night. We arrived about 6:30. Our entrees came, for two, emphasis 2 people. Then eventually my husband's main meal arrived. But not mine. After a thoughtful wait, my husband asked about the tardiness, and got a puzzled look. No apology, no" I'll look into it straight away". Nothing. So we just sat some more and after a long, long wait, my main came too with a belated apology. I said that if you can't be bothered remembering me, I'll certainly not remember this restaurant in the future. I was extremely disappointed. The management needs to look after customers with more consideration. It's not too hard to bring 2 mains out simultaneously, and wait staff should be checking their tables for any follow-up.
Very obvious change in management- staff extremely nonchalant and inattentive and the food was extremely slow to come out from the kitchen, and far too staggered for a group dining experience. Unfortunately though we were celebrating my aunt's birthday, she was served second to last. The food was nice but overall experience was poor and would certainly deter me from visiting again or referring others in the future. Very disappointing!
Good local Japanese restaurant- fresh sashimi and oyster. Great selections of sake here. Deluxe bento box is satisfying with good combination of foods. Second time here already- very sure will visit here again.
Have to wait over an hour for orders on a weekend. My Aunty went there yesterday on a Saturday night and waited over an hour for her entree to come out. We tried to order take away for 2 sushi rolls and was told it was over an hr wait. Needs improvement when it comes to time preparation on a weekend. Food is good but just a bit ridiculous the wait times to get food
Extremely fresh Japanese food. A lot of choice on the menu. Indoor and outdoor covered seating with a heater. Beautifully presented food. Full of flavour. And the best part of it all is that the customer service is just amazing. Can’t wait to go back :
Would not recommend and wouldn’t go back. They weren’t busy but we still had to wait a long time for food. At least they apologised and were friendly. I thought by beef teppanyaki was below average and had a really unusually thick sauce for a Japanese dish. It all made sense when I heard the staff speak Korean in the kitchen... I think anyone can cook good Japanese food but you really should pay attention to how real Japanese chefs cook it of you’re not Japanese. The beans in my dish were all shrivelled up and over cooked. On the plus side my partner enjoyed her salmon teriyaki but when I tasted it I thought it was pretty average. There are much better Japanese places around that are actually run by Japanese people. they were very friendly so I want to see them do well but I really think they need to focus on improving the taste of the food.
