Art are really amazing, but some I can’t understand. Not much people there, I can go around and take pictures easily. Nice coffee, cakes and foods. Managers also friendly too. Free to go inside, don’t need to buy tickets. Store is also good too, beautiful pictures, card, …
The curation at this gallery is truly something special! Very interesting pieces across different periods that work well together to create a statement without disrupting the flow of each gallery or being jarring.nnBoth the front desk volunteer and the security staff were really warm and friendly and were delighted to talk about the gallery.nnI confess I do not like modern art very much and yet each piece was so thoughtfully curated and placed I really did not want to leave.nnAs I pondered to the security guard who wandered over for a chat right before his shift ended- I really wish I could find more information about all the curators as I would love to follow their creative process in curating a wonderful gallery.nnSome of the lighting did cast a bit of a glare when I wanted to see some of the art from closer but overall, especially for a free gallery? This was a delight . The curation felt like a story in itself, rather than having many similar pieces from the same period or with similar styles displayed together, which can drown the art in a sea of similar pieces. I think every piece got to shine here!
The Lindy Lee structure caught my eye first and then I always love a free gallery. The main floor is the most impressive. The renaissance exhibit was the highlight but still recommend the visit. A nice place to switch off and connect to art.
A place where you can spend 2 to 3 hours. With a great variety of arts and exhibitions.nAt 500 meters you can park your car paying little for 4 hours.nnHighly recommended this place
This well-established gallery was a great place to visit in Adelaide! It took me almost 2 hours to see all the beautiful exhibitions, every corner of the gallery offers a new perspective of art, such as Japanese art, modern sculptures, and Aboriginal artworks.
