What an amazing dining experience! Had the Seafood Moily and it was to die for! The garlic naan was also very tasty! The best of all was the homemade mango ice cream! Loved every bite! The owner was also very friendly and kind and spoke to us on the way out! If we’re in the area again, will definitely be returning to this restaurant! The view from the balcony was also beautiful as well!
Big Disappointment Expensive and Low Quality food! We are NEVER going here again! NOT WORTH THE PRICE What a waste of a superb location! The website says they serve “authentic Indian food made from fresh, local ingredients…” but our experience was totally opposite as we were served stale Salad, bland Daal and subzi made of frozen Veggies! This is what we ordered: * Fried Idli $14 The serving had only 3 pcs of Small sized Idlis served with stale frozen veggies salad and Mint chutney and there was no Ginger seasoning / taste as mentioned in the Menu!!! There was no Till or Curry-Leaves or Podi masala like the authentic Fried Idli that is served in a South Indian breakfast. Also, we expected Coconut chutney instead of Mint chutney as it wasn’t mentioned in the Menu. * Tadke wali Daal $20 We were served stale Daal with no taste of any Tadka! It felt like the Daal was kept frozen for a few days and served as a boiled Daal with lots of green chillies. There was no taste of Ghee / Butter or Jeera or Onions. ‍ * Mix Vegetable Tava Masala $20 We were served a dish made of frozen vegetables instead of fresh vegetables and it was full of Tomato Purée, which over powdered any other taste. The quantity also felt less. * Steamed Basmati Rice $4 It didn’t feel like Basmati at all as there was no aroma and were so dense. ‍ * Parantha Tandoori $6.50 This was the only thing I enjoyed but it was the most expensive parantha I have had so far! * Papadum $2 2 pcs of papadum for $2 Overall, it was a disappointing experience and this restaurant doesn’t even remotely represent “authentic Indian food”. NOT WORTH THE PRICE
Really great atmosphere, people and service. Staff was polite and quick. Food was not the type of indian our family is used to but It was different and we all liked it. We booked table at last minute and really impressed by efforts. Loved the atmosphere!! Great job!
Very good experience. Went with family for dinner. Food was delicious and different tasting indian food. Even our kids enjoyed the food as it was made exactly what we requested. Saw some bad reviews especially around customer service but we disagree... We had fantastic experience.
We walked in without a booking and the lady at the counter Rizalina ? who was serving some caucasian customers looked up curtly and sternly asking if we had a booking, completely devoid of warmth. The same question could have been asked sweetly so we feel welcome. Looks like some other customers of Indian origin like us have had the same experience, looking at the reviews here so maybe there is pattern. The food was terrible, naan and rotis were not properly cooked, aloo tikki seemed like a cutlet full of raw cumin seeds, dhal tadka was not bad but most other vegetables and dhal maharani were tasteless, did not seem to have the right combination of spices and not worth the price. The staff serving us was lovely, their smile and service made up for the curt attitude we were met with on arrival. We will not return though. Unfortunately we hadn’t read the reviews ahead of visiting. It is disappointing to read some rude and defensive responses from the owner to similar reviews here from customers.. It would have been a much more productive use of the owner’s time had it been spent looking within oneself and rising to the occasion instead of using attack as a form of defence..
Chicken baryani was very bad . Even it looks like chief doesn't know how to cook chicken baryani it was $35 very expensive. Chicken tikka masala n naan was not well cooked and very hot . Staff was okay . We very disappointed never recommend to any Indian and Pakistani as we all use too eat and cook tasty traditional indian and pakistani food. Maybe Mostly english people liked them as they doesn't know about the traditional actual food taste.
Charming ambience, warm welcoming staff with acute attention to service all the way, and gorgeous scenic views over the mountains scapes. It is bring-your-own-wine/beer. We took with us a bottle of Shiraz which symbiosed amicably with our 3 courses. We were two people and were so impressed with the quality and quantity of the dishes. Great value ! Our order ... Appetizers: veg. samosa and dhal vada. Mains: Tandoori Prawns, Butter chicken, Paneer tikka masala, Garlic naan and Kashmiri sweet naan. Desserts: Gulab jamun and Almond kulfi. Our favorites from these were the tandoori prawns WOW!!! Just spot on perfect, butter chicken succulent tandoori chicken in a delicate makhani sauce - reminded me of moti mahal !, Garlic Naan delicately crisp, soft and flavourful and Gulab Jamun delightful finish. The dhal vada was slightly overdone and the kulfi could do with a creamier texture with a bit more pistachio flavor. Overall, I can say without a doubt that this was a beautiful experience. The menu has a good variety and we would definitely come back to taste more from the menu on our next visit.
My hubby & I took our family to eat here and we are all huge fans of Indian cuisine! This restaurant gifted us with one of the most memorable dining experiences of our lives. We sat upstairs in a lovely homely dining room candle lit & peaceful. The service was flawless- family run- & the food was too die for. We still talk about our experience and can’t wait to go again!
Always fabulous! Have never had a bad meal here and the view from upstairs is spectacular. Vegetarian options: Extensive options
From start to finish this was an amazing evening. From the warm welcome to the change of table booths are not comfortable for the over endowed!, The staff were polite, accommodating and helpful. Wow and the food was amazing. Generous servings, wonderful fresh flavours, freshly ground spices and great quality proteins. As a visitor to the area this was a definite 'find'. I'd recommend booking.
