The food was great! Plenty amount of food, we couldn’t finish it! I don’t know if it’s authentic Ethiopian cuisine, but taste was awesome. Mild spicy. Doro wat chicken stew, lamb, all the vegetarian dishes - We loved then all! This restaurant definitely worth visiting. Will come again.
First time trying Ethiopian cuisine, definitely worth a try. Had a share meal for two, was more than enough for the both of us. We tried three meat dishes with one vegetarian dish. Their meals are just the right amount of spicy to enjoy it and the flavours are just mouth watering. We finished our meal off with their coffee for two, strong, smooth and rich in flavour just spot on. Ambience wise, a good little restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but has spacious dining area inside. They had a lady making traditional coffee as we were dining and she came around showing us the roasted coffee beans, we picked the perfect day to try new things.
Would recommend to everyone! Such amazing food and so many options for vegetarians and vegans. I loved the whole experience of drinking the delicious coffee after we ate - engaging all the senses. The staff are so friendly and kind. Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back!
Such a delicious treat and surprise. The humble restaurant serves authentic and tasty cuisine, with a wide variety of meats and vegetarian options. We ordered a small meat/vegetable combination dish and Buna . Food was so tasty and presentation was good. It was a fun experience eating not having to use cutlery. The Buna…. includes incense and you get your own Gebena to serve coffee, which was a fun. We all loved the food and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend trying the experience and cuisine if you have never had it before. A must try!
Great meal, share platter with four others. Hosts provided total guidance on what to order after a quick check of dietary requirements. Lots of additional Injera sourdough pancake provided as well as great discussion about the types of food, ingredients, Recipes and how it was made. Finished with a very nice Ethiopian single origin coffee which they actually roast the beans themselves, served in an authentic vessel with traditional popcorn side and sugar and salt. Also very cheap, for five people We were all very well fed for under $100. Was a little tricky to find due to location being basement level of a shopping centre, and confusing to find the bathrooms, but worth it for a great dining experience
Tastiest Ethiopian food in the Moorooka District! These guys have good reviews for a reason. We ordered their share platter for two and serving portions were generous. We had a chat to the owner and all food here is made fresh everyday and it shows! Give arbihu a try if you are craving Ethiopian.
Beautiful food, served beautifully. The banquet: superb. Cultural coffee with ginger: life-affirming. Delightful staff and quirky decor. A great dining experienceRecommended dishesMeat Combination with Injera Bread, Coffee Making Set Up
If you are interested in Ethiopian single origin coffee, the trying the way they enjoy coffee might amaze you. And since you have come to a restaurant, you're sure not missing their delectable but also affordable food.
Lovely gem hidden away at the bottom floor of an arcade. Had the combination platter which was delicious and fantastic value for money - 4 meat dishes of your choice plus injera bread. Good coffee, too. The restaurant was a bit stuffy even in the evening, but it was a hot day today.
We were taken to ARHIBU by someone from Eritrea who obviously has a good knowledge of delicious Eritrean cuisine. The delectable lunch was such an interesting experience. The meals were certainly extremely tasty. The coffee ceremony was fascinating. The welcoming owner, Mulu, was more than happy to accommodate all of our dietary requirements and she willingly explained the meals to us. This was such a pleasant introduction to Eritrean food and how it is prepared and presented. I look forward to returning to try more items on the menu.
