We have both parents in here, the nursing staff are lovely, caring and most helpful, cannot fault them. Unfortunately that’s where it ends, the food, OMG!!!! Disgusting uneatable most of the time, well below standard, modified food, bland no favour uneatable ,cold ,always chicken clearly because its a cheaper optionno steaks Proper steak NOT modified rubbish the chef is definitely lazy and uninspired, I have personally worked in the food industry for many years, this is just poor at best and well below standard. My parents pay $7k a month for this rubbish that they can’t eat. Our parents don't need this Modified rubbish, they want real food, with flavour. husband Has spoken on a number of occasions to manger about the issues with little to no change.nI have resorted to cooking extra at home to give to our parents so they at lest get proper food.nIf the chef fed this garbage to his parents, he should be ashamed…This should be restaurant quality.nWe have spoken to some of the other family members in here and are all of the same opinion. Some real change needs to happen, perhaps a new chef and manger would be a good start
Don't be fooled by the glitz and glamour. A beautiful facade which is not representative of the care provided. Arcare Caboolture is chronically understaffed. If the incredibly sad and un-necessary food wastage was stopped, perhaps more funds could be put towards employing people. The amount of food that gets thrown out each day is criminal. Less food and better quality is what the residents deserve. And care staff who aren't run off their feet all day. It's a sad place.
My Mum spent her last few months at Arcare Caboolture under Palliative care. All the Staff and Residents were fantastic and made Mum's last months fun,comfortable and gave her the utmost care and respect. It was the best decision we made as a family for Mum. I can't thank everyone enough.nnThank younCorinna deVeth and families.
I have a friend in Arcare Caboolture. I find the staff fantastic but unfortunately because of the greed of the higher management they are very short staffed. Last week my friend waited for 40 minutes to be attended to. They then helped him onto the toilet and then left him there for another 35 minutes. This is a common occurence. Families pay a lot of money to have their loved ones looked after in these places and they are not getting value for money. More staff please
