Local Bar and Eatery in Highland Park. Decent selections on the menu, as well as Kids menu. I ordered the Scotch steak and the Bao Buns. Both were good value for money and tasty. We did have to wait for a while for the good though. I would suggest pre-ordering if coming with a big group
Food was good but service was slow with a long wait between ordering and receiving the food.
We 4 of us walked in tonight around 6pm for an impromptu dinner, seated straight away by Mikayla next to the bar. Ordered our Starters, Mains and drinks we were told at the beginning there would be a wait of 30mins which was fine with us. Unfortunately, what ruined my evening was the bar staff whom all appear to be around 20 something which is great but their behaviour wasn’t yelling across the bar to friends they were serving, one of which started throwing ice from his drink at the girl behind the bar this carried on until the ice in his glass was finished. Then there was the swearing behind the bar, and one guy had a tea towel and was flicking it and hitting the girl which hit her, sounded sore. Another bar staff Asian girl was leaning against the bar and on Tik Tok. Now, I have been to a couple bars/restaurants and this has to be the worst display of hospitality I have seen thus far. A shame because the food was decent, big portions, good Espresso Martini, our waitress was great thank you Mikayla and Bar Manager Melissa looked after us after I told her about our experience. Good local bar/restaurant the bar staff was the only let down.
This place is a regular for us and never disappoints. The food is delicious and the Oreo Donuts we order every time are just out of this world! They are soo good!!Food: 5/5
Cool place. Great decor and atmosphere. The food was fabulous, in fact exceptional value. The staff were friendly and knowledgable too. They even have a separate function room you can hire, big screens for sport and it's a great layout with plenty of outdoor seating too.
Perfect place to chill! The team I was with had burgers and I was the only one who ordered pizza. Ordered food and drinks from the bar are great! 2 Bombay gin and 1 Sx on the Beach are perfect to end your day fine while watching Tokyo2020! Good place, good company.
I did want to support a local establishment but I was very disappointed with the food. The steak loaded fries really was pretty bad. Balsamic on the bottom getting the fries soggy and sparse amount of steak and a really bland cheese sauce which I cannot recommend. The server though was amazing and if the food quality was the same as the service it would be great. Unfortunately my review is based on the food quality.
Went there after work to have a quiet one, atmosphere is great lively, ordered the buffalo chicken wings and I have to say they taste boiled with a lot of Buffalo sauce on it. Little bit of sour cream and celery. Those I don't really recommend but other food looks great.Food: 4/5
Great place to dine or have a few drinks! Beautiful big space. Friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommend. The korean spicy chicken was delicious!
Yeah na. For the price point this restaurant is asking, the quality is just not there. Having an open faced kitchen when the cooking staff are clearly not taking it seriously is not a great look. The food wad bland, took ages to arrive, and the portions were small. Went with the family and spent $350 for 6 people. There are much better places to spend your money in Auckland.
