This memorial is a beautiful treasure of statues around the gardens to show courage over many years from all who served our country. The hidden gem is the museum that is under the stairs. We found this gem by accident. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. There are many stories you can look at, read or to reflect. This is a must visit if in area. Took my nephew, he was so interested in everything.
A cool little park to visit with some history in the tunnel. Lots of statues with information and places to relax. An amazing place to reflect and meet up with people. Something for everyone to look after and ensure we remind everyone about what happened abd for it not to happen to again. Worth a stop while in town
Love this place for a nice sit down lunch. Despite being in the city next to Central Station, it's still calm and not too hectic like other Sydney. Cool architecture and environment.
Wow! I don’t know how many times I have walked past here but the doors were open today and I went in to the Memorial Galleries. I was met at the door by a lovely lady that worked there who showed me around. She was such a wrath of knowledge and wonderful to talk to. The Memorial is full of interactive displays on the history of Australias involvement in war and peacekeeping. A must visit for every Australian.
Good place if you want to hang out at the garden and also learn about brisbane history. It just a cross the street of Central Train Station.
ANZAC Square has a new monument! The memorial is in commeration and recognition of those Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women, of Queensland who have served in all wars and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Really high quality installation. Touch screens work really well and provide a lot of information in a small space. Great use of modern technology to bring such a valuable history to modern times. I especially appreciate the timeline feature. Cool air conditioning.
We did recent tour of the gallery which we thoroughly enjoyed. The tour guide gave us a very interesting insight into the sites development. This also included the history behind the plaques, some stories associated with the war and some of the people who fought in and lost their lives during this period. Thank you for a most enjoyable time and all the work that you have done to gather the information about some of the people.
Beautiful historic square with many gracious statues.
Must see when in the area, great environment and cool atmosphere!
