My very first experience with ANZ at Bundoora to verify my ID to activate my new credit card..
Very true you can only make one good or bad first impression.
I don't wish to name person who served me but I hope my banking relationship with ANZ is not reflected by the insipid customer service... mind you I walked in took my ticket number and smiled and greeted teller.... 
come on people customer service etiquette basics..not hard. 
Very disappointing first walk into ANZ branch at Bundoora.
I encourage ANZ to review people's skills and warm personality when recruiting.
As a retail manager in large Australian company I very disappointed in seeing such poor customer service

No lighting around the "smart" ATMs at night. Hardly feels safety to deposit or withdraw money.

Worst cust service, very slow process for a new card to arrive. they did not even bother to apologise or feel bad to have create such a delay (3weeks) for a customer to be able to do an online transaction due to the card was never received. I believe the ladywho helped me opened the account Jill, has forgotten to order the card but she blamed it on the aus post.
Such a bad banking experience. Dont go to this branch at least. Now i am closing the account, never even have the chance to start a transaction. What a waste of time
