Always a joy to come back. Well made #pies plain beef, pepper steak ... banh mi too. Always friendly, clean, in order and crowded.
Some of the best Bánh Mi in Melbourne is at Anne's Pantry. First time at the Surrey Hills store, a regular at Mt Waverley. Ultra fresh crispy rolls, and plenty of filling. A bit pricey compared to getting one at a Vietnamese bakery in Richmond or Springvale, but being able to sit down inside or outside to enjoy the roll and a great coffee is worth it. Smiling staff who prepared our lunch quickly.
We’ve been going to Anne’s pantry for a while but recent years there’s been a change of management and prices are really inconsistent. When this problem was raised by the manager lady she was really rude and said she’s too busy to discuss. We try really hard to support local but won’t be going to Anne’s pantry in Surrey Hills anymore!

I had a corned beef and salad roll which was nicely prepared and very good ingredients, but no better or worse than other Vietnamese bakeries in the area. But I was quite shocked when they asked me for $10.40!!, Really, they're Sister shop in Blackburn Square charges $7.50 . My opinion is these prices are becoming a unrealistic, and greedy I will not be returning,shame really as they are nice people but it seems everyone's just hiking up prices with the current trend of things but thankfully not everybody is and that's where I will be going.
This place has done a lot to me and my family. Through tough times when they asked politely if we wanted discounts to still knowing my name years later. This place truly and heartly holds a place in my heart. Food is always, always enjoyable with a wide variety and an extensive menu of different cultures. I cant think of a better place for a lunch meal. No wonder they are always busy and selling. The milkshakes are a highlight for me as they are fair priced and the Vietnamese rolls are great and introduced to Vietnamese food. Favorite local food place. No complaints
The bakery looks good but I found it irritating that on sitting down for a coffee they would not provide any water. I was told I must buy a bottle of water I want some. Irritating!
I have enjoyed a Regular Bahnmi @$8.50 until recently which I considered a fair price for a good quality product in the suburbs. Now the cost has increased by 23.5% to $10.40 ea, which reflects city prices! A reasonable price would be say $9.00…. I will have to reduce my love of this great product. No more visiting Anne’s Bakery! It was a favourite!
Went to the Union Road Christmas in July celebrations on the last day of July, and was greeted with a delicious Anne's Pantry gingerbread tree! Thank you, Anne's - really appreciated your support and your gingerbread tree!
