Visited this place a few years ago. Always been missing their fish and chips. It was operated by Macedonians. Went back recently and found that it is now operated by Chinese. Seems to be very famous among the locals. Food is still fine but dont feel the same as last time :
Ordered fish cocktails, chips and scallops for lunch. Very underwhelming compared to other sea critter and potato dispensaries I have visited. Scallop sizing was disappointing also considering my appendages outsized them as shown in photo.
Pretty great, food is what you expect, good quantities and prices are great. Staff are great as well. Minor issue with last order, two potato scallops were left out. Other than that, top notch.
Best battered flathead we have had. Not greasy at all. The staff just need to smile a bit more. The lady serving looks like she doesn't want to be there.
it looks new owner new management, tried scalop and cocktail, tasty and crispy. They also have real sea scallop, fantastic.
Family pack for $28 for some of the greatest old school fish and chips you'll find - easily feed 2 X hungry adults and a couple small kids.
Ok ...nothing fantastic...WA and Victoria have the best fish...the fish here is not flake or snapper , the batter is very flat. Pretty sure some of the other stuff is frozen. Chips a little average too.
The shop used to have some of the best fish and chips around but under the new ownership it has gone south fast My burger was bland, dry, and the bun wasn’t even toasted. The sizes of the chips have gone down majorly and they have no seasoning. It’s always sad to see one of your favourite restaurants go down the drain but unfortunately this seems to be the way it’s going.
Good food, friendly service. Fish and scallops were the best but chips were not the best. Will go again though!
Good value for money and the people seem really nice. However there was no chicken salt or normal salt on the chips that we could taste. The fish and chips were pretty average in texture and taste.
