THE BEST THAI I HAVE EVER EATEN! I have pretty high standards when it comes to delicious fresh food and Andaman Thai Restaurant Shellharbour has exceeded them. The staff are beautiful, so kind and welcoming. Both my father and I came back a second night in a row because we couldn’t get enough and both nights were divine! Will recommend to everyone we know coming this way. A big thank you to the chef and staff for such a treat. Cannot wait to return.
I walked in not expecting much but the food exceeded my expectations! I would still consider it fusion food, but the red curry was definitely on par with some I’ve had in Thailand and the barbecue chicken was beautifully charred and fragrant. The staff were really friendly, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated as well!
We had meals at Andaman Thai Restaurant few times, we love the food here. My wife's favourite is sticky rice with mango desert. We travelled one hour 30 minutes to have our dinner here. Foods are delicious. It is located just next to Shellharbour Beach. There are plenty of parking near beach but hard to get free parking as it is a tourist area.
Spontaneous visit to this place in Shellharbour village. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and had us seated in no time. The service was quick and the food was great. Especially the soft shell crab which was the chef's special. Enjoyed the pad khee Mao with some delicious ciders. It made for a great experience. Staff checked in about our experience occasionally to ensure we were comfortable. Especially liked the ambience and music being played. It was a fun experience and did live up to the expectations I had from having heard other reviews. The prices were reasonable and it was definitely worth the money. All in all its not at the top in terms of food but this little place sure does make the list of top five Thai restaurants I've visited in the Illawarra. Would recommend it.
Amazing food and portion sizes. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. If you have a sweet tooth the 'Duck with Orange' is superb.Food: 5/5
The ambience is catchy and unique. With all the flowers hanging on the ceiling and walls, it gives a feeling of summer even if it is winter today: eating outside a big garden! The food was great and yummy! My son keeps on saying yummy while eating the food. It was worth paying $35 each person compared to other restaurants charging you more but you get very disappointed. We ordered duck salad, red curry , crispy pork and tofu ginger shallot. The serving for each dish was just alright, except for the rice which is too little:
Dropped in for dinner. Premises clean and tidy with a Thai atmosphere. Staff well groomed, courteous and helpful with menu selection. Great menu range, competitively priced, well presented and good portion. Good range of drinks at restaurant prices. Recommended
The grilled chicken was nice,but I was very disappointed with Yum talay ,no taste of seafood. I think it made from frozen seafood ,except the prawns and I feel not like the chef cooked it.
