Now I’ve never been to Thailand, so I don’t really know what authentic Thai is, but this was absolutely sensational food.nnThe service and atmosphere was all top notch. All the meats were very tender and some amazing balance and flavours. If I had to be really picky I’d say the size of a duck meat was too big in the Thai fried rice, it could have been smaller. But overall thank you guys for a great dining experience.
Located the Shellharbour town and a short stroll from the beach, Andaman Thai restaurant offers good Thai inspired meals with a quaint atmosphere. Staff are friendly and welcoming though can be direct for efficiency.nnThe menu is extensive with a large selection from starters to curries, stir fried, noises, rice dishes, dessert, and a small kids menu.nnThe menu carers for everyone so whilst some dishes are authentic Thai, others are Thai inspired. Flavours, textures and presentation are all good and consistent though.nnFavourites like soft shell crab are available in a a variety of styles, massaman and other curries including a fusion lamb shank curry. Pad Thai, Pad see ew and many other noodle dishes are available, along with nother non Thai dishes such as Hokkien noodles.nnDessert consists mainly of ice-cream however there is one Thai inspired which is the mango and sticky rice.nnIf you're looking for more authentic Thai dishes including Thai desserts, you need to look elsewhere. The dishes here are more to what locals would be familiar with.nnFor the most parts Andaman Thai restaurant is enjoyable for a delightful meal to enjoy with your friends and loved ones.nnOn this occasion the restaurant was bustling and full. It was a little noisy as a result. Booking in advance would be a good idea.
We ordered the Cashew Nut Noodle and Duck Plum sauce. Both were delicious and had lots of flavour. I forgot to take a photo until we were half way through Atmosphere was great, the flowers hanging from the ceiling was mesmerising!
Andaman Thai Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an amazing dining experience. The decor is cozy yet elegant, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions.nnAbsolutely enjoyed our meal and the service provided to us!nnAndaman Thai is a must-visit! Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back.
Such a beautiful restaurant. 5 stars for everything; food quality, service and atmosphere. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and prices reasonable. The interior decor is outstanding and possibly the best I’ve ever seen in a Thai restaurant. We had the lunch special which was beautifully presented, great value and very yummy.nHighly recommended.
