Anason
"Invoking the concept of the traditional restaurants and bars of Istanbul, the meyhanes, Anason offers Anatolian cuisine in a modern waterside environment. True to its Turkish roots, the drinks menu is as important as the food. Sample traditional Turkish Raki, sip your way through the wine regions of Turkey, or celebrate life with signature cocktails. The venue's design reflects the modern side of Istanbul with the typical Bosphorus Blue being prominent all around the restaurant. In typical meyhane style, Anason is open for drinks accompanied by mezes or for a full feast. Be our guest and let us take you on a journey to the Bosphorus to sample some of Turkey's famous hospitality!"

My friends and I went there for lunch two days ago. I absolutely love this restaurant. Ali was very nice, he attended to us and was really patient in explaining the dishes on the menu, we are all so grateful for that, he made ordering food that are mostly unfamiliar to us, such a pleasant experience. The main dishes are in good portions, enough for 3-4 people to share. Delicious food and great service. I can't wait to go back again. Overall, it was a really nice experience in a relaxed environment. Highly recommended. The place seems to be always packed so making a booking ahead of time is a must. Their "Autumn' Banquet Menu is really interesting. Might try it for next time.
Beautiful set-up and food was delicious, but we couldn't understand the waitress and a few options were so small in size. It was hard to know what we're ordering especially if you haven't already tried Turkish food. I recommend photos on the menu or on their website to help customers make the right choices.
We had the feast, which allows a range of fishes. There is a lot of food, so it is wise to be hungry. The first few dishes were finger food and all were very good. I really like the oyster. The next set were vegetable focused. The carrots were excellent. The next set was great and we both loved the roasted cauliflower. Finally the dessert was brilliant. Overall this is my favourite Turkish place across SE Australia.
The food is great. The service is great. The waitresses and waiters are very nice. They have a high standard for food. My friends came late, they replaced our cold dish and gave us a freshly cooked dish and said they wanted us to enjoy their dish with the best temperature.
The set menu was delicious and paired well with the matching wines. Staff were great and helpful. Our first wines took a while to come out so we had to delay eating our first course but this was chased up when brought up with the waitstaff.
Me and my friend had dinner here and it was great! Although it was not that Turkish but all the food tasted delicious. We had the lentil kofte looks beautiful and tasty. Cauliflower sauce is refreshing however not that into the cauliflower. Lamb with tomato sauce is amazing recommended eat with Turkish bread. Staff are quiet friendly and good service.
outdoor and indoor seating. easy to book the day before. nice water views, most dishes were generous in portion. flavours were fresh well balanced and lightly seasoned/ spiced. most dishes were entree sized but a few were large main. service was good although you may end up over ordering if you go by their recommendations! i would come again. ps the chicken was amazingly tender juicy and delicious and i would definitely be ordering the collars again.
Another great example of international cuisine so beautifully adapted for a Sydney Harbour side venue. The Turkish origin food was delicious, and the roasted chicken dish you must try. Alcohol was on the step aside, but other beverages very reasonably priced. These cocktails in the attached photos were all around $20 to $25 each, but they were generous in size and great tasting. If you want to save a bit, try their Turkish tea and coffee instead which was authentic and delicious.
Fantastic dishes, very creative and colourful. Appealing to the eye but also tasty! Great start to our day by having lunch at Anason! I would definitely come back to try all the other dishes. Seafood was fresh, I recommend ordering the scallops, octopus and the Turkish bread to dip in the sauce. The kingfish was alright; presentation and portion of food could’ve been better.
Great service. Set meal is very nice. Vegetarian options are available. Very interesting selection of Turkish alcohol beverages. Lion's milk is a unique to try.Food: 4/5
