A massive thank you to Harry at the fishing desk for completely setting up and rigging up my sons first shark rod, the customer service was amazing and nothing was too hard for him. Would just like to comment on the exceptional service I received from a young man named Harry last weekend, who was stationed in the fishing section.nI found his extensive knowledge and understanding very useful and he really helped me find exactly what i was looking for.nHis work ethic is highly commendable and really made a difference to my experience. I am sure that I will be shopping here again.
If i could rate zero stars i would. Avoid the place at all costs.nnWould not recommend this store after the way I was treated.nI bought a fishing rod for my son and later purchased a reel from this store. Less than a month later I took the reel back as when we went to use forbthe first time the handdle was not firm and was loose and didnt spin properly, only to be immediately accused by staff of damaging it myself because the handle was bent.nThe staff member repeatedly claimed I had “obviously bent it” or “fallen over,” which was completely false. Instead of listening or handling the situation professionally, I was made to feel like I was trying to scam the store. The interaction became so uncomfortable that I started recording the conversation on my phone because I could see where it was going.nAfter a long argument in front of other customers and a completely unnecessary scene, they finally refunded me. If this is how they treat honest customers with a genuine issue, people should think twice before shopping here.nIt wasn’t the refund that upset me most — it was the disrespect, accusations, and lack of professionalism. I won’t be returning.
Great range of fishing supplies and a well-stocked camping section. The customer service is amazing- friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. Highly recommended!
Shout out to Young Brodie at the palmerston store, knows his stuff when it comes to fishing and goes above and beyond to help you the best he can. Great customer service and friendly face.
