Thank you for making what is inevitably an arduous and stressful time as short, smooth and focused as could be. I would strongly recommend Amicable Family Law for those who want their needs and concerns to be heard while remaining in control of decisions, and be advised and supported with respect and dignity. Special thanks to Maja, who was particularly diligent and good at listening and taking on board my needs and concerns instead of trying to steer me in a particular direction. Maja advised me adequately on my best interest and my rights, in a respectful manner, while encouraging mutual respect between parties. This went a long way in helping us reach reasonable agreements, which in turn enabled both parties to move forward. Maja helped me stay focused on what is important to me and set aside acrimony so it wouldn't get in the way and stall the process. There was no pushing towards trying to fight for more - Maja listened to what I wanted, advised me of my rights and what would be deemed reasonable, and treated all parties with respect and dignity at all times. This was really welcome during a time when feelings and emotions are high and can easily overtake the focus on what really matters and what will help moving forward. By encouraging mutual respect and a reasonable approach at all times, Maja enabled us to keep our time and energy focused on reaching an agreement rather than bicker over small things. We were able to get through the whole process of separation, mediation and lodging an application for consent orders to the court within 7 months. Maja was extremely diligent, responsive and supportive at every stage of the process and in particular was totally upfront and honest with her fees, which are also much more affordable than most places. There were no hidden fees, we were able to communicate back and forth without worrying about each communication ramping up the cost as the fee was for the whole process, not per item. No surprise additions to the bill and no unpleasant request to pay thousands of dollars upfront before proceedings could start. Maja did exactly what she said she would do at all times - fast, reliably and respectfully. Thank you.
