Amelia's coffee shop was a very nice surprise. I was a traveler using the laundromat near by. I bought a toasted sandwich, carrot cake and takeaway coffee. All were wonderful. I did worry at how quiet it was and hope they do well at other times. The food was great and the service was wonderful. I appreciated having the door opened for me when I left.
It's so sad that this unique Philippino influenced, extremely well priced, very friendly cafe is not as popular as it's nearest competitor a couple of minutes away at Cobblebank Station.nnBut unfortunately, despite their less than ideal location no passing foot traffic!, they do themselves no favours with their opening hours.nn9am, when their nearby competitor opens at 7, ON A SATURDAY, is insane in first-thing-in-the-morning-coffee Melbourne.nnStill, have a much needed sleep in, then go give them a go. Before THEY go!
I gave a five star because the server worked his butt off and the food was amazing along with the pricing.nI will however say that the language barrier was a bit of a problem, the menu could do with some descriptions and knives are helpful nAll in all though an amazing cafe and I will definitely recommend.
It’s a nice place to grab a lunch meal and snacks. Enjoyed the vegan Thai chicken pie very much! Have it when it’s fresh and hot! The staff there has always been really NICE!
Filipino brekky food was okay, a little more improvement as the Tapa was soooo overcooked, hard and dry. The Achara served was not even a small finger nail size.nWill come and try again
