Have been to this cafe several times for work lunches during the week and have never been disappointed. There is an a la carte menu with a good selection of pastas, burgers etc often included as part of a lunch and drink special deal. There is also a selection of tapas style dishes which can be shared. Food is always of a high standard. Prices are reasonable and service attentive and efficient.
Really lovely upstairs area. Staff were great. Food was amazing and affordable. They have a great range of cocktails too
Located in a small local shopping strip, I was a bit worried walking in but felt a bit better after being seated. My partner and I were seated in a quiet, private section which turned out well because a couple of large groups arrived a little bit after us. The menus could be updated so that they match the nice building and food. The tacky plastic sheet covers are just that, tacky. The menus need a bit more descriptive /creative flair in the writing to represent the food quality a bit better as we were initially underwhelmed on inspecting the menu. We went with the share plate for entrees and were pleasantly surprised with the quality. For mains we shared a small mushroom pizza and gnocci, both of which were fantastic. Price was fair considering quality, service and ambience. Great value joint and I'm very happy it's so close to where I live. A pleasant surprise. I look forward to returning.
My family and I keep going back to Ambrosia. The atmosphere is great and so is the food. Always looking for an excuse to go back. I would recommend getting a table downstairs near the back. The back area only has a few tables and is much quieter than upstairs.
I have being going to this beautiful restaurant for years now. Always great service, atmosphere and food. Would highly recommend.
I recently attended this restaurant and was very impressed. Everything we ordered was delicious and the eye fillet was very tender. Reasonably priced and fast service. I am recommending this to everyone. Great location to catch up with friends and plenty of gluten free options.
great food and service.. family restaurant, warm and cosy ambience..
Beautiful atmosphere and good food. Well priced and large variety. But in particular one waitress made our experience that much better. She wore her hair in a pony tail, blonde with a fringe. She was lovely, suggesting meals and being so patient with customers. Great place overall for a nice night out.
We used to love coming here. It had been at around a year or two since we'd last been, so we decided to go for my birthday with family a couple of Thursdays ago. There were mixed reactions to the quality of food for the price. However the thing that was most disappointing was the lack of service. We were seated in a quiet corner which was fabulous, however after our waitress had appeared to have gone home, we were completely forgotten about. Drink orders were forgotten, and we even had to get up and find a waiter to get us some dessert menus, and again to take the orders. They weren't very busy at all, so it was surprising. Definitely not the Ambrosia we remembered, which is a shame. There are a lot of better dining options in Berwick now.
Great coffee great service and perfect food.
