Amayjen the Restaurant is run by husband and wife team, Andrew and Jenni May. Andrew is a former Scottish Chef of the Year winner, Andrew earned the immensely prestigious Award in 2009/2010.
Amayjen was originally an old tyre shop which Andrew and Jenni have transformed into a brand new restaurant,

What can I say? Simply superb, the best of NZ fine dining in small town Aotearoa. Will definitely be back, and if you have any sense you will be too.

No communication about being short staffed. Booked in at 7.30pm for dinner and mains arrived at 8.50pm, then asking 9.30pm if we wanted desert. On a week night and working next morning early start.
