We had an AM-BOSS access ladder installed at my Workplace. We needed roof access to service ACs and do roof maintenance. Very happy with the product, installation and service from AM-BOSS, a quality job all round thank you.

I purchased an AM_BOSS ladder for my home recently. From the first call to the installation, the service was excellent. Robyn from AM-BOSS was so friendly and helpful. Paul the installer was excellent and did wonderful job with our tight space. Paul also showed me how to use the ladder correctly. With a 20 yr warranty, I would highly recommend AM-BOSS.
Should be zero stars. Be aware of chip board box frame. The spring counter balance system on my ladder sheared off and the linkage flew past my head. I was lucky not to be seriously injured or killed. The basic chipboard frame takes the torsion load from the spring loaded counterweight system. In my opinion this is a fatal design floor with the ladder. AM-BOSS refused to take action on the incident, quote "We will be accepting no responsibility for your ladder system". AM-BOSS made a series of weak excuses for not backing their product. The ladder was never exposed to water. The ladder legs were shortened to suit the roof height, this does not change the loads on the ladder nor the fact the frame taking the spring load is made of chip board. I was completely unsatisfied with their lack of action. Since their response I have registered a dangerous product report with the ACCC Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, who has referred the case to Fair trading. Fair Trading is investigating AM BOSS and the case is currently with their product safety department. I feel it is the companies duty of care to warn people about this ticking time bomb in their ladders. But they refuse to take responsibility, hence this public warning to you.This could occur on anyone's ladder with a chip board frame. Check the product carefully before purchasing.
A message re: Nick Tonge: Nick Tonge purchased the AM-BOSS pull-down access ladder from "a friend of a friend". Not only had It been exposed to water causing swelling of the frame, but he had cut and altered the ladder to suit his environment. It is a known fact that you never cut an AM-BOSS ladder - there is no need to. He also failed to maintain it in accordance with AM-BOSS' 'Operation & Maintenance' Guidelines. AM-BOSS has been manufacturing, supplying and / or installing pull-down access ladders for almost 40 years. The ladder was physically tested and rated at 150kg at any given point not spread weight. At no time during the testing did the Counter-Balance / Linkage Arms break away from the frame - so why did Nick Tonge's ladder break - because it had been altered, suffered swelling through water damage and not maintained appropriately. AM-BOSS is 100% Australian owned and made. We can manufacture to suit virtually any environment, including bathrooms and external all-metal ladder. As always, AM-BOSS welcomes feedback from its customers. However, it is not appropriate to alter or neglect the product and then complain about it.
I purchased and arranged installation of an attic ladder through Am-Boss. I was extremely happy with the overall product and service. The ladder works well, was installed really well, clean-up was good, and I was given instruction on the proper use of the ladder.
Delivery drivers are extremely rude and can’t follow workplace rules and instructions. I’d give less than 1 star if I could
