I do not recommend using Alter It South Yarra; they destroyed a $79.95 pair of jeans, plus the $20.00 paid for alterations.  I had a pair of jeans shortened, which you’d expect to be a reasonably simple job.  Unfortunately, the alterations performed made the jeans unwearable  - the leg lengths are completely different, the hemming is crooked and the hems / ankles are chunky.

I've had a number of items of clothing altered here, including jeans being shortened and dresses taken in or adjusted. The staff are lovely and very helpful, they're obviously very busy so if you're getting an alteration done I'd recommend getting it in at least two weeks before you need it to make sure they have time. It's a little on the more pricey side from my experience but given the location, quality and service I think it's absolutely worth it.

Alter It really stepped in and saved the day! Off the back of taking my skirt silk ~$180 to another alterations business prior who left it an absolute mess, Alter It was able to fix all of the issues and turn it around extremely quick in time for my birthday event. Length and waist was altered perfectly on a tricky piece of clothing asymmetric. Very thankful, highly recommend!

Inna and the team are lovely and provide consistent professional tailoring, with excellent results every time i've used them. Thank you so much! My favourite leather skirt was no longer fitting me but I wasnt prepared to get rid of it. Maria suggested making an extension on the side. She did a fabulous job, especially since the material is leather. Really impressed with the quality of work!! Dont know what I would do without these lovely ladies!

I visited Alter It South Yarra in a bit of a pickle with a formal wear gown needing to be taken in around the waist and replace some missing buttons for an event less than half a week away. I was greeted and looked after by the staff with such care and professionalism upon arrival and was reassured that they could bring the waist in and fix the buttons etc. with no issue in the time frame. I just picked up my garment today, I'm so impressed and have to say thank you to the incredibly talented and caring staff. Fantastic turn around time. Really great pricing for such professional and impeccable work. I'm also still so impressed at how you magically matched the buttons perfectly!  I will be coming back!
