Charged me $35 to fix the zip on my bag. And it worked... for about 24 hours. In fact, after the zipper fell apart, I noticed the other shoddy work they did; the 'patch up' job they did to my Mont Blanc bag. I'll be coming back when I can for a refund.
Got suit pants altered here belt loops fixed. They altered pants in a way different than what was agreed. I brought this to the man who was workings attention when I picked up and he didn’t appear to care and did not offer to do anything about it. He said that’s what they needed to do. The cuff at bottom of the pants was shortened on one side which alters look of the break. The belt loops that were added look slightly bigger but the work itself appears to be strong which is good. The job was done very fast and earlier than expected. From my experience it appears that they do not understand suits or the work they will need to do on a job. Do not recommend taking suits here.
The worst experience ever I've had in a store. The assistant was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She wasn't the slightest bit enthusead or helpful with my request. She actually shrugged her shoulders at me when I mentioned I was unhappy with her rudeness. Never going back.
I went there to get a raw hem simply cut. They told me they needed to charge the same as if they were sewing because they were using their scissors. They then wanted to charge me $89 to cut a hem without even using a machine. Very very rude and a rip off. I went else where and they charged me $25.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Alter It South Melbourne. I had my suit pants altered prior to attending the races $110 - quite expensive and when I tried them on, on the morning of Derby Day, I discovered a hole in the sides where the stitching had been missed. This was awkward and embarrassing as the hole grew progressively bigger throughout the day. I took the pants back to get fixed and they said they could not offer me any sort of refund - describing the incident casually, as just a missed stitch. I think this is terrible customer service given the expense incurred to have the alterations done. Would not recommend to anyone in future.
A simple hem taken up on a dress cost me $33 ! Anywhere else would've been less expensive!
Fast, efficient, and very nice people. Came in to get my pants fixed and it took barely 5 mins, literally came in and went out. Didn't charge me either
Had a alout of the blue event come up and needed a rush on some pants that were sent to them I spoke with Daniel and he was such great help! Thank you Alter it for you're amazing customer service!!!
