Most unusual coffee prices.... ever? I have happily had 'Long Blacks' aka 'Americanos' all over the world, but this was the first place where I've ever been charged MORE than the equivalent Latte or Flat white, for what is, essentially, espresso and hot water. I believe lattes were 4.50 and I was charged 5.50. I'd love to hear their reasoning behind the pricing? The coffee itself was pretty average... roasted pretty dark and not to my taste at all.
Lovely they offered complimentary glass of champagne for Mother's Day - good touch, very pleasant manager. Rest of service was inexperienced and uninterested. Food overpriced and substandard. Reheated spaghetti; reheated seafood - when I commented to the waitress as she picked up my half eaten spaghetti marinara that it was awful she made no comment at all!
"Worst service I have ever experienced" sums it up as 2 friends and I walked away on an empty stomach. Funny that as we walked off, another couple was saying those exact same words. Why the worst service? Picture this... Cafe is 2/3 full so not even running on full steam. We sat down at 11am. 11.10, ended up grabbing menus ourselves normal right and ask the waiter twice to clean the table whilst he is looking after new tables that sat down after us. 11.20, finally placing an order mind you the waiters and waitresses spend half of their time daydreaming - SORT your stuff out. The order was: 3 flat whites, 2 orange juices, 3 brekkie. 11.35am, still nothing on our table - drinks or food. We left as we could see other tables that arrived way after us 11.15ish being served their drinks and some their breakfast. We left in a polite way, telling them we cancel the order, no apologies, nothing. If you CAN'T run a cafe, don't open a cafe. Worse thing is, when you make customers feel like they are not valued/needed but customers are ultimately paying your bills, get LOST!
Amazing service - staff is friendly and very customer service oriented. Food is amazing fresh and great value. You won’t be disappointed!
A lovely cafe venue with great service staff, but let down by the food on offer. Coming here for breakfast, the coffee was ok, a little bitter in the after taste, but it was the poached eggs coming hard as tennis balls and hardly cooked bacon that soured the experience.
Amazing food, fantastic customer service! Ordered lunch as recommended by the sweet lady that works thereI believe makes the food - recommendations were perfect and loved my lunch! Even purchased extra food to take home! Highly recommend popping in and getting a meal here.
The Avo on toast was below average, it tasted and looked like the precut cheap Coles sourdough slices, and when I asked to replace the Feta with mushrooms I was chargde $4 more when the Feta extra is also $4!. I won't recommend this place. A few grumpy waiters running around as well.
Had one of the worst experiences today with my 2 year old son. I ordered him a babychino and lucky I tested it 1st the milk it was boiling hot and would of burnt his mouth. I took it to the barrister to feel and he decided to try it?? Wow... he then came out and told me I was wrong and it was how a babychino should be.. Sorry champ you don't burn my son or any 2year olds mouths . And on top of that come to my table to argue this point.. Ps when you use the toilet can you clean your skid marks this also happened when I arrived your obviously a grub and I'm not sure your great for business. Pathetic
the coffee is fantastic, by far the best cafe for locals. pastries and breakfast are great as well specially their pain au chocolat! YUMMMM!
Good atmosphere, but the service is slow and I didn't feel they put lots of efforts in their foods. Felt over priced for what they offer.
