Don’t waste your money! I had the owner do my shellac pedicure and manicure and she rushed the whole job so she could get more people through the door. She ended up cutting my skin so badly it wouldn’t stop bleeding. What's even worst she didn’t apologise and proceeded to charge me $120 for a shellac meni and pedi. The manicure lasted 1 week no different to normal nail polish and it was so badly painted I was happy it came off so I could get it done properly elsewhere before my holiday. I agree with the others, the place was disgusting. As I sat down I noticed how messy it was. There was left over food sitting on the nail benches and baby stuff everywhere. The owners baby is minded by all the workers so if you don’t like crying kids I suggest you keep away. I personally wouldn’t go back if someone paid me. Very disappointed.
The worst ever!! don't waste your money, there are better places around. Starting from the beginning... an old lady to take off my nail polish, took ages to do so, she couldn't understand any english, asked her 4 times to cut off a piece on nail that was growing inside my skin, had to ask another staff member to do it then. Not Hygienic, not professional - my hand shellac chipped off after 2 days. Had to ask to put the shellac property 2 times because it was just not right!! moreover, they told me i could go and my nails weren't dry yet!!! Please do not waste your time
Worst experience... They mixed thinner into nail polish in front of my eyes!!!! unfriendly staff, the lady who was doing my pedicure couldn't understand English, I had to ask her several times so that she could understand that I want my nails very short, couldn't file, my toes don't look the same. Worst happen when they had to mix thinner with OPI nail polish, because they didn't have any more matching color for my toes. After two days my polish is damaged and look ugly...
The salon itself is kept neat & tidy with the staff seen regularly cleaning it - which is good. The female staff can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to friendliness. They don't speak much English or choose not to! and the manager maybe owner? isn't particularly pleasant - she needs to up-skill on the customer service if she wants repeat business - considering the location isn't that central. The staff also need further training on shellac / opi gelcolor manicures. Or just research it's removal better! They charge to remove old shellac/gel manicures - which is standard practice - but covering a customers nail with a sliver of thin cotton wool & acetone and wrapping in foil only works if you leave it on long enough and there's enough acetone applied to the nail bed. Having the staff soon afterwards hack at your nails with metal cuticle pushers, trying to scratch the bulk of old shellac off them is neither pleasant nor good for customers nails. If you want your nails to stay healthy - I'd advise seeking shellac removal from a more reputable establishment that doesn't end up ruining your natural nail bed as in deep scratches and chips out of the nail - which wasn't there prior to removal by staff! Their cuticle removal is only average as well. If an establishment has friendly staff - you can overlook some of the negatives, but this isn't the case here. I hope they take the feedback on board if they want to stay in business for the long term - there's a lot of competition in that surrounding area let alone in the city.
I went in and got a shellac pedicure, it was all good until the colour was applied. Some of my nails are only half painted on and parts are uneven. The store was also completely empty apart from myself which says to me that it is not very successful, this may be due to the bad paint jobs? I would not recommended this salon.
I have been going to Allechante Nails for over a year now, and anytime I have gone elsewhere I have always been disappointed that I had bothered to stray! Allechante does the best French shellac manicure I have EVER had, and the owner Yuki is a very friendly woman who remembers your face and welcomes you back with a smile everytime. I recommend this place to all my friends as I always leave the salon feeling fresh and glamorous! For anyone looking to feel gorgeous and rejuvenated, this is the place to go.
Full disclosure: I bought a Groupon voucher for a mani pedi. The first strange thing is that they don't use cotton buds for most of the acetone, they use hand towels. They also try to do the mani and the pedi at the same time which means you're trying to balance two curing lamps. In my particular case, the ladies working on me they changed several times as new customers came in so that someone could work on the new customer, and at times I had to wait for someone to be available to continue my treatment, forgot to put a top coat on my foot. I had to insist on it after the colour came off when they applied acetone at the end, as the Shellac hadn't cured. They tried to apply another coat of colour and to send me off, even though there was a clear difference between both feet and I had mentioned that there had been no top coat. I understand that they may make no money from a voucher, but there was a clear lack of interest in any kind of customer service or making sure I had a good service. Neither of the women working on me said more than a few words to me or said good bye as I left. The owner did say good bye as I was leaving. I only wish I hadn't bought multiple treatments on the voucher. I don't believe that I was particularly offensive or rude during my treatment, and I don't think I deserved that level of disinterest. There are numerous other reviews on Eatability that echo my experience and I only wish I had read them first.
Allechante Nails is a great little find!! I visit them on a fortnightly basis for my Shellac mani & pedi : They have a great selection of OPI, CND & Cuccio colours and the girls are so friendly, professional and have a very steady hand. My nails last for approximately three weeks when I'm not dying to try a new colour and the craftsmanship is spectacular. Now yes, I have read comments about how some people disapprove of the acetone used to remove Shellac, but its just the reality of the product! You can't remove it any other way and the ladies are very careful with the removal process. In the million times that I've visited I had one slightly bad experience and after one conversation with Yuki the owner i was whisked in for a complimentary treatment and its been great ever since!! Given their shellac mani & pedi special for $70, you can't go wrong!
OMG! One of my worst experiences, I did pedicure and manicure there. The lady who did pedicure asked me if I wanted my nails to be cut, and I said yes just shape them, surprisingly she cut them all TOO short and even one of my toes has been cut exactly half of the other toes. It did hurt and still I feel pain on my toes. When I complained she and her colleague didn’t even bother to apologise..... will never go back....
Seriously, don't even bother. I have had better manicures on Kuta Beach! Not sure if these ladies are even qualified. They are not busy at all, and I can only assume that the business is being used for other purposes, perhaps a child minding service or at least that's how it appeared. Agree with all the other comments re poor removal of shallac, ordinary end product, cleanliness and service. For goodness sake, my fingernails could have been bitten straighter! Also, this business needs to actually use the foot-spas, all the lights, the heater and turn on the massage chairs! What's with that?? If you want a more relaxing experience, I suggest you purchase a cheap emery board and take a long bath! Seriously BAD experience.
