Our kid has been attending to AS for the past 5 years, and we have mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, the sense of community at the school is wonderful. The teachers are approachable and caring.nnHowever, as time has passed, we’ve noticed some concerning trends regarding the teaching approach. While the relaxed atmosphere may be appealing to some, we have found that the school’s academic focus feels somewhat lacking. The homework load is minimal and not mandatory!!, with only a couple of pages assigned over the course of an entire month. We understand the value of a balanced approach, but when we speak with parents from other schools, we realise that their children are much further along academically.nnWe have observed that other students seem to be getting more challenging and structured assignments, which has made us question whether our kid is receiving the level of academic rigor needed to thrive. While the environment is warm and supportive, we do feel that the school could benefit from reassessing its academic standards to better prepare students for the next steps in their education.
I've heard good word of this school from many students who used to attend there. Seems like a pretty good school with excellent and friendly teachers as well as an engaging and enjoyable learning experience. Love the grade 6 camp going to Canberra, was a great learning experience for the students that brought many of them far closer than before. The main downside of this school is it's location and the available car parks. The school only provides two car parks close by, one which is hard to reach and the other is so measly that cars have been known to accidently crash into each other when attempting to exit. Due to these parking limitations, the pick-up line is horrendous for those poor parents just trying to pick their kids up. As well as this, the school is located in a very awkward corner of Albany Creek and you are only able to travel down two roads to enter or exit the school. Overall, I've heard very good word of this school and would recommend to any parents who live around the area.
This school is terrible for the locals; there is no parking so parents park in the middle of the road rather than at the nearby shopping center's overflow carpark. I have never seen so many middle class lazy people. Nearby residents have no way of traveling in their own neighborhood by car because of the grid lock. Why would you have no parking for a school? All Saints Parish Primary needs to sort this out.
A welcoming school with many opportunities for children.
Really happy with All Saints for our boys. Great school with fantastic caring teachers.
