The Alice Springs Town pool is a ok place to take the kids or get some exercise. The heated pools are a good temperature and there is a spar. Plenty of off street parking.
Nice days at the aquatic center this summer. Plenty of pool areas to choose from, both inside and out. I have been able to hang out and swim as well as do laps with plenty of room to share with others. It's also nice the access is free for locals this summer, plus other amenities such as seating and sun shades.
Advertised as open today with grand reopening on the 29th . Got up early and by 6am was there. Then told its closed ! No message or information on Facebook or the council site. We check daily. ! Website needs updating with current information. Happens all too often. When the pool's open its fantastic.
Great place to go swimming! Really impressive aquatic facility for a city the size of Alice Springs. There’s several pools at this complex, including a 50m outdoor pool, a 25m indoor pool, and a play/splash pool. I came to swim laps in the 50m pool and wasn’t disappointed. The water was sparkling clean, the lanes were wide, and the staff/lifeguards and other swimmers were friendly and welcoming. I visited around noontime and there was only a couple of other people using the facility, so I had a lane to myself. The locker rooms were also clean and well maintained.nnDocking one star bc the 50m pool was on the warm side not to mention unshaded, which made it a little uncomfortable to swim for an extended period of time. Also, the showers in the outside male locker room were cold a strange sensation after just having used the overly warm pool. Other than that, this pool was great. Highly recommend!
Nothing like a pool in the middle of the desert. Photo doesn't do the place justice. Spic and span, very well run and a fantastic indoor facility where you can warm your bones too. A credit to Alice Springs.
