It is a great place to take small kids for a train ride. It's worth a stop if you're in Alexandra.
Great look back into time. Old machinery and steam engines. There's an old train that still operates for $10 adults and $5 for kids. It's a small fee to keep this piece of history still operating. It's run by volunteers.
Great spot for an hour or 2. Dog friendly even on the train. Which only goes around the yard in a circle but still great for kids.
It was closed. But not too much worth seeing. Unless your into broken down stuff
Talk about a big kids playground lol. It's set in the old Victorian Railways yards at Alexandra, and uses the old Alexandra Railway Station. Great piece of history. If you're mechanically minded, love playing around with engines and machinery, have a love of restoration and keeping history alive, then join, you'll love this place. Then there's the steam train, another beautiful piece of history. The kids will love it here, young and old. It's a good day out.
