Camped over Melb Cup weekend, very happy we chose this location. Nearby caravan parksnwere packed and cost upwards of $50pn without power. Free camping nearby was even more packed.nWe had a Roomy powered site $35pn and we extended our stay on both ends eaily. Pet friendly. Fires allowed in fire bins.nGreat value for money. Clean bathrooms - older style but adequate.nCaretakers all very friendly and helpful. Will be back and would definitely recommend.
My wife and I stayed there for two nights end of Nov 24 in our motorhome and enjoyed getting out on the rail trail on our bikes one of the days, but unfortunately there was torrential rain another day. The sites are ok with some powered ones under some big trees, and toilets/showers adequate. We didn't have a need to use the camp kitchen, but it didn't have an operational sink with running water.nThe caretaker we dealt with was a nice, very chatty guy who was like an angel compared to the horrible female manager at the Marysville holiday park.n$35 pn for a powered site ok but really should be about $25.nShort walk to township.nThere is some Road noise from trucks using the road next to the showground, but not to bad.
Spend 5 nights here.nReally nice and clean. There is bathroom with showers and laundry.nThe caretakers are really nicenWould come back agin
Top place to stay. Close to town. Clean. Friendly
30 a night for unpowered site but it's only 35 for a site with power pretty cheap if you need to charge your batteries and other gadgets and they have hot showers and a paid laundry with a dryer.
