I needed to organise window child safety locks for our five villas in Drummoyne, to comply with the new regulations. I started off by contacting a local locksmith for a quote. They sent out a representative, who, when I asked her if she had a tape measure to check compliance heights, said "Im just here to count windows". I pointed out to her that we had two ground floor units and many windows that did not require child locks. I had studied the regulations and knew what I was talking about. "I'm just here to count windows" was the reply. She said that "the office works out which windows needed locks". I asked how they would know how many were needed if she didn't provide height measurements. "Im just here to count windows" was the reply. And on it went..... To cut a long story short, the penny finally dropped....... they were clearly in the business of fitting child locks onto every window, necessary or not. Bye bye to that locksmith. I should have checked Google ratings and comments first, many were not pretty at three and a half stars. Our Strata Manager put me into contact with Vince at Alert Locksmiths. He asked me how many windows required locks, I gave him an estimate, he quoted a price per lock and he made an installer available the very next day, who verified my count and compliance and fitted only the locks that were required. The installer, Claude and his partner were courteous, tidy and professional in every respect. I cannot speak highly enough of Alert Locksmiths.

Vince & Joe of Alert Locks & Security gave me exemplary service when they replaced my broken transponder car key. It was a difficult and tedious job taking much longer than expected. Despite this they stuck to their quoted price which was a fraction of what a car dealer would have charged. I highly recommend Alert L&S!
