OK. Normally I can't fault Aldi at Stockland. Friendly local Aussie staff, good price and quality product at the right price. I am marking you down this time for your free range chicken thighs, which have recently been filled with water that comes out during cooking. This is something more likely to be seen in Europe and with Dutch food producers. I base this on my experience in cental London where free range chicken thighs imported ftomnthe Netherlands was often pumped up with water to make up the weight and it oozes out during cooking. Please look into this and don't let this bad habit take hold in Aldi Australia. Thanks. Keep up your otherwise good quality and reasonable priced meats,
Normally, I'm very happy with Aldi, but i was disappointed to find a red onion I bought there was rot in the middle layers after cutting it open.
Best place to shop.nJust a few things you can't get there, eg. One litre of milk
Don't come in the evening, otherwise you won't find anything
I wish I could give this Aldi a better rating as it’s my local but I’m repeatedly frustrated and disappointed by buying product only to get it home to find it’s past its expiry already. This also occurs with the vegetables all the time as well.nTonight I went to eat the Strawberry Cotta that I bought today on 10/2 only to see it had expired on the 6/2 and wasn’t removed from the shelves. It hadn’t even been marked on special which would have alerted me to check the expiry. Just not good enough.
