I normally love Aldi but only come here if you want to be treated like a thief. I wanted to return an unopened bag of nappies but made the mistake of coming into the shop and directly lining up with a trolley and 3 empty bags. Staff made me wait while they viewed the camera footage to make sure I didn't take a bag of $10 nappies to return from inside. Then also insisted on searching the empty shopping bags. Felt so great after the experience I went straight to Coles to spend my money.nNever been treated so poorly by other closer Aldis.nCome on, if I was going to do that it would be for more than $10?!
Aldi Burwood East usually have friendly staff and good prices across the board. Their specials are also good value and go in cycles. I find lately that the fruit and vegetables has improved and am buying more from there than I would in past and less from Woolies as again the price is better. If you want to save money then definitely consider Aldi.
Only checkout that was open and it didn’t have a packing end to it, which means for someone like me who’s pregnant, was a struggle. And even after telling the lady who was serving me I’m pregnant, no assistance was offered.nEither help out, or get a packing end put in!
