Located in Magill Road Norwood. Plenty of parking spaces. Spacious store and plenty of space between aisles. Not sure whether I went on the wrong day/time not much fresh produce available. The checkout counter service is so fast! They have 2 at a time serviceable counters, so the first person can peacefully pack the items without trying to rush as the next person will have their own packing area.
A very spacious store, good wide spaces between shelves & it's kept nice & clean. Plenty of fresh meat, vegetables, dry goods & drinks. It's just a pity they use impprted pork for their speck, as Australia has the best meat & produce in the world.
This is my favourite supermarket. It is the ONLY supermarket that lets you claim a full refund for everything, no question asked. The reason why they can provide such low prices and customer service is because of the outstanding efficiency of their unique system, hence requiring few staff.nnStaples are all if not marginally cheaper, then much cheaper eg rice crackers, taramosalata dip, much, much cheaper. Their frozen mixed vegetables are just $1.50 a kg!nnI love the fresh salmon here, always VERY fresh, much fresher than any other supermarkets, and cheaper too!nnTheir sausage rolls are the best.nnTheir centre aisle specials are a legend. I buy all my gardening supplies here, good quality and cheap. My airfryer with rotisserie and cylindrical basket and dehydration function, I had to queue for 1 hour but has been one of my best buys ever.
Store is fine, though the parking cruelty is horrendous! While I was there I witnessed the followingnn1. a parking inspector give a ticket to a couple with a disability because they had to park slightly outside the lines of the disability parking to exit the car. Have some decency!nn2. It's a 1 hour car park and the parking inspector was watching and waiting next to the cars about to tick over, and would give them a ticket immediately.nn3. after seeing the above I made sure to move my car diligently, so as not to exceed the 1 hour. However, their rules are that you only get 1 hour per 24 hours, regardless of if you leave and come back. This is not posted anywhere obvious. I subsequently received a ticket for $77 for staying ~5 minutes over the original time. The ticket implies this is to compensate Aldi for damages due to me overstaying... If I'm able to move car parks because there are so few cars what possible damage to revenue is Aldi sustaining, given I'm not preventing any potential customers!nnI'll never go back there unless they fix this and compensate those impacted and I'd recommend anyone that reads this to stay away from this store. If you are doing a bigger shop that is >1hr YOU WILL BE FINED. If you forgot something and have to return later in the day YOU WILL BE FINED.nnThe group in control of this parking dictatorship is Traffic Monitoring Services TMS, they act on behalf of Aldi to squeeze out more revenue from anyone shopping there.nnLift your game Aldi, you're better than this - having poor signage and picking on people with disabilities! Shame!
