I had written a review a little while ago. But I decided to right a new one since it has been 18 months that I have been shopping regularly at Aldi at sandgate. I have since learnt that Aldi is in charge of the cleaning of the lift and the bins up stairs and at the bottom of the ramp and cleaning the lift and the entrance. The lift is absolutely disgusting and should be closed down as it is a biological hazard. The stench inside of urine today was disgraceful. Monday there was rubbish in it and it stayed there till Thursday. The bins don't look as if they have ever been cleanedn et alone sterilized, cause they never get emptied daily and they stink usually until they are overflowing. Whoever does the cleaning doesn't have any enthusiasm about it cause half the time the pan and brush or mop and bucket are left outside and never look as if they have been used the lift itself needs to be steam cleaned and the stainless needs to be properly cleaned to make it look somewhat presentable. I honestly think Aldi head office would be just as disgusted as I am by the state of the presentation of the outside of what is a nice and clean store inside that I like shopping at. Please, whoever is in charge, hire a cleaning company to do a full clean up of the lift and entrance and bins. Because it is way over due and is not healthy for people to use the lift in its current state
The Aldi here is consistently stocked with incredibly fresh vegetables and meat. What's more, the ground floor offers covered parking, making it convenient and providing protection from the sun. It's a real lifesaver being located in such a convenient spot.
Some of the special buys are awesome and some are just random!
This store always have what I need. Staff are sour at the checkout and not very vivacious. The trolleys often get backed up in the last couple hours before close and they block the entry/exit way. Need to get a new contractor to pick up the trolleys. I witnessed the two trolley pickup people. A male and woman making out next to their trolley truck. They looked foreign and it was very unprofessional and strange. I understand that people are so lazy they cannot walk or catch the elevator to take the trolley up to the upstairs bay but come on. Just do it.
What more can I say about Aldi, you can always expect to find premium quality and that same loved products
