My daughter and I decided to try the Sunday morning breakfast advertised on the wall outside the hotel... Admittedly, it was very quiet when we arrived which was early.... It seems to be a new option they're offering, but the usual high standard of food from their kitchen was evident.... Choices of muesli, eggs benedict etc. were washed down with delightful cups of cappuccino and hot chocolate!!! I believe the Albion Hotel is a hidden treasure in the Cottesloe/Claremont area. Once you've been inside, and enjoyed their hospitality, you are much more likely to become a regular!!!
Went to the Albion for our second anniversary. Very interesting decor inside..FRiendly staff. Clean and tidy restaurant Only downside was our share entree almost came out the same time as the mains. The 1980s music was also a bit blah Good for any occasion I had the steak sandwich was very tasty My boyfriend had the Cajun chicken burger which he enjoyed. The cheese was yum, unfortunately not put in the steak sandwich .
Dropped in for dinner on a Sunday. Not busy. Bartender was friendly and helpful. A general stickiness to the tables, very dusty dirty air con vents. Menu looked okay but meals were average. Parmi $27 was good, but the roast pumpkin salad $24 was horrible! Ingredients listed against menu item were nowhere to be seen - the pumpkin was cold and watery definitely not roasted and there were cubes of pear I think! to add to the watery tastelessness. Maybe stick to the standard pub fare.
Full of memories and relics of by gone eras and the Garlic Prawns were delish
Somehow we always end up here, must be the convenient location. Pretty standard pub in a wonderful old building. Nothing special but always does the job with a reasonable menu and decent range of tap beers. Must have introduced QR table ordering since last visit but you can order at the counter, we did both. Beer garden is wanting as it is small and lacks any character but I doubt much can be done about that. I am sure we will visit again sometime in 2023.
I went to the pub for lunch and sat in the outdoor area to eat. The food was fine, but there were many people sitting directly under a no smoking sign and six people were smoking. My wife was quite upset as she suffers from asthma. I went into the hotel to complain. No one came out to even check. The food was then served and I asked the waitress to ask the patrons under the NO smoking sign to not smoke. She said they are regulars and therefor are allowed to smoke. I pointed out the absurdity of saying since they regularly break the law it no longer applies. The waitress than ridiculed me for complaining telling me it is a very American thing to doI am Canadian. The patrons continued smoking with a greater gusto as they felt vindicated. I would strongly recommend that you not eat in this establishment unless you smoke while you eat or are prepared to be smoked out.
We had a beautiful night - we ate the lobster carbonara, beef burger and sticky date pudding. It was delicious. The hospitality was top form. And the venue has such a lovely, vintage charm.
A place meant for people having drinks and can wait for the food. For us it took over an hour for food to arrive. Not just us, saw many families lining up at the counter to remind. Probably not meant for families with children.
Just had my son's 21st birthday in the Albion's Queen Victoria Ballroom. What a fantastic night! The venue was just perfect for our needs, the staff especially Jayden were so helpful, nothing was too difficult, they did everything to make sure that the night ran smoothly. Thank you Albion for making it a night to remember.
Such a cool venue. Enjoyed drinking in the old tram
