I recently visited Albany Indian tandoori restaurant and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with vibrant flavors that truly captured the essence of Indian cuisine. From the rich, aromatic curries to the perfectly spiced tandoori dishes, every bite was a treat. The naan was soft and fluffy, and the biryani was a standout—fragrant and packed with flavor.nnWhat really made the experience special was the customer service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure we had a great time. They took the time to explain the menu and offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family.nnOverall, Albany Indian Tandoori Restaurant offers an outstanding dining experience with both exceptional food and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Indian flavors in a comfortable setting!
Our visit to Albany Indian Tandoori Restaurant was truly a delightful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. We ordered Butter Paneer, which was initially a little spicy for my kids. Upon our request, the staff customized it to perfection, and it became the best Butter Paneer we’ve ever tasted—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My kids loved it so much they finished the entire dish! We also tried the Kashmiri Pulav, which was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The variety and quality of vegetarian dishes were impressive as well, catering to all preferences, including Jain and Swaminarayan options.nnDespite the restaurant being completely full, the outstanding customer service provided by Gurpreet was truly commendable. She was incredibly polite, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Gurpreet’s warm hospitality and her genuine care for customers, especially families with kids, were remarkable. Watching her interact with other customers so graciously was heartwarming.nnThe owner is truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and professional team. My family was highly satisfied with both the mouthwatering food and Gurpreet’s exceptional service. Whenever we visit Albany, this will be our go-to place for authentic, delicious Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
Great service, decor and food. Only complaint was that their spicy food was extremely spicy but wasn't advised as such.nnWe asked for a medium and hot dish but the hot dish was much much hotter than the medium dish and we had to have those hot dishes with yoghurt.nnHowever, the waitress had recommended the spicy dish to us and said it wasn't a high level spice but it was coming from an Indian too haha. Maybe just tone down the spice or be more accurate when recommending hot for future patrons?nnDishes were delicious otherwise - had the chicken 65 and seekh kebab for entree, seekh kebab was a bit chewy and not as big and juicy as ones I've had before. chicken 65 was yummy.nnFor mains had chicken Madras and lamb vindaloowhich was very spicy. But great flavours on both - portions a bit smaller considering the price of the dishes $30 each was heftier than normal usually $25-27.nnNaans were a standout as well, really lovely buttery garlic naan. Staff were friendly and accommodating as we had vegans in our dining group.nnOverall, nice experience still - would go again to try other chicken dishes.
Fantastic food. Quick service. The nicest staff. Food was hot and delicious. I had butter chicken, fish pakora I ate 3 already and some naan.
I just love this place! The staff are lovely, helpful, informative, and the food was out of this world delicious! We're not big eaters, so we ordered sag paneer as a shared main course, along with a plate of 'chicken 65' Spicy fried chicken bite size pieces, a garlic naan, peshwari rice and raita. It was abundant enough to take home the left overs. Everything was just right. Highly recommend!
