Story

The Albany Creek Health Club opened at the Leisure Centre in October 2009 and continues to provide a modern cardio theatre and resistance training area staffed by the friendliest trainers going around. Our extensive group fitness timetable includes both wet, dry and intense options. So if it's Zumba, Aqua, Boxing, Yoga or Bootcamp Training you're after, it's all here! 24 hour gym access is also available.

The Swim School at Albany Creek is a year round program designed to accelerate your childs progress through consolidated lessons. You can start at any time without school terms interrupting your child's progress.

The Albany Creek Leisure Centre motto is " everything under the one roof" Enjoy the lagoon area with the kids. The rapid river and giant slide are a great way to soak up the summer fun. Why not relax later with lunch on the terrace cafe.

All of the remaining gym machines are dated and in dire need of repair. Only 3 of the 7 treadmills work. Water filter been out of order and covered with a garbage bag for 4 months. Mould around all of the air-conditioning vents. Staff have a “it’s not my job” mentality. Enquiries go unanswered/ignored. This gym needs a serious shake up and new manager.nnUpdate: membership price has increased. Workout spaces have reduced to make room for yoga. Don’t go here for a gym…three other gyms in close proximity that are cheaper, bigger, maintained, and clean.

After being honest enough to politely ask if we could use the the app membership to go for a swim, even though it not our local center, we were rudely told no you pay. On checking on the app we showed the young lady we actually can use it , we were told no, you must pay, after explaining we were told by two other centers, you can change location and swim for free we were told no again, after demonstrating that it works we were told it doesn’t matter you have to pay.nWell for being honest and showing you how the app works for your members we choose not too bother!!!nWow this is your technology, so either know your what your talking about or change it and stop confusing everyone.nIn saying that - terrible service

Good swimming pool and water park. Kids enjoy sliding and the rapid river water flow. Slide opens 10am. There are laps for swimming too. The safeguards are friendly and responsible. They gave us good advice and suggested safer right areas to play. Thumbups.

I used to go for casual swimming at Chermside but after I have been here, been loving the pool facility here. Heated all year round and so much cleaner and well-maintained.

update 19/92023 -nSchool Holidays time and the rapid river and the slide are CLOSED !!! for maintenance, website shows rapid river open, we didnt realise until we got in its all roped off which was disapointing, with school holidays its unfortunate that no scheduled maintenance could have been done prior to the holidays to sort any issues. Didnt see anyone working on anything while we were there.nnTwo years ago...nGreat spot. Plenty off street parking. Lit up after dark. There is a full gym on site. Coffee shop has decent hot chips otherwise very minimal option does have a nice pergola area with tables and chairs. Plenty of space around the pool to drop your gear under shade. Changerooms are clean and tidy with endless free HOT showers. There is an awesome waterside that costs extra if you want to go on it, lots of fun. Rapid river is great.
