I love the food at Al’s it’s spectacular. the fish and chips are my absolute favourite. the fish is crispy with great flavour and the chips crunchy and soft with chicken salt making it absolutely delightful to indulge on. They have the perfect ratio of soft crunchy and flavour. Al’s is my all time favourite
Excellent fish and chips! The chips are very nicely cooked- thick cut, nice thin batter and crunchy!!! and fluffy on the inside. Potato scallops are delightful as well- you can tell they are hand cut. Great value- $11 for fish and chips in this day and age is amazing! Fish is decent size. Calamari was a bit too crumbed/battered for my personal taste but still yum. Just go!
A family friendly fish and chips shop serves the local community. Their fish & chips could be done in an array of cooking style: deep-fried, grilled, oily, crispy, served on a plate or folded in paper. “Al deserves all the accolades it...”
Great tasting fish & chips. Got the family pack & good value if you have 4 very hungry stomachs to feed. Order took slightly long considering there was only 1 person waiting for their order before me. Apart from that chips were nice & crunchy as was the fish. Great batter on the fish & decent portions.
Delicious and fresh food - tiger prawns were delicious and flathead and calamari rings were well seasoned and cooked. Definitely coming back here!
If I could rate 10 I would! Great service but more importantly their octopus grilled with garlic is of the hook! & immaculate chips with fresh oil!! Definitely coming back you guys!! Well done and keep up the good work. Lalal and Tim
Have been here multiple times where the size of their fish cocktails have been pretty decent. Went their today and they have cut their fish cocktail to the size of a MacDonald's chicken nugget, charged the same price. I would expect that if the size of the pieces are much mich smaller then usual then add 1 more piece in or something. Especially to a return customer. My 4 pc fish cocktail were pretty much 2pc cut in half. Very very disappointed as they are usually pretty good. 1 bad experience and they have lost loyal customer, all for the sake of 1 pc of fish.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered a family pack fish and chips and calamari, potato scallops, and some sauces. Average pricing, battered fish was great! Chips didnt survive the drive home, got soggy sweating in the packaging as expected. Would eat from here again for sure. Raw fish for sale appeared fresh with good variety.
This would be 4.5 stars if I had the option. Just picked up the family pack crumbed and really happy with the quality and portion sizes. Lovely and fresh! Thank you - we’ll be back!
The best seafood I've ever tasted. Even they best the quality and freshness of fish market. I used to work here for 2 years+. The care that Al & George put into the business and the product is fantastic! Thinking about how delicious it was makes me drool now!
