We went to Al Aseel in Greenacre with a group of friends from our hiking group, and it was the perfect spot for a post-hike feast and farewell to one of our member. The welcoming atmosphere, with its striking décor and various seating arrangements, made a great first impression. The lighting was just right—not too dim or too bright—allowing us to fully appreciate the vibrant dishes.nnWe started with refreshing juices, and while the lychee and passion fruit were popular choices, the lemon and mint was a standout for me—refreshing and perfectly balanced.nnFor our mezze, we ordered hummus, baba ganouj, muhammara, kibbeh, sambousek, and falafel. Every dish was packed with flavour, but the falafel really stole the show—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, simply delicious.nnFor mains, we indulged in grilled lamb kafta, lemon garlic chicken, mansaf chicken, batenjan maqli, and kabsa, accompanied by some flavorful sides. Each dish delivered the authentic flavours you expect from Al Aseel, but the lemon garlic chicken was the standout for me—perfectly tender and bursting with flavour, a dish I’ll be dreaming about for a while.nnBy the end, we were so full there was no room for dessert! It was an amazing evening and a fantastic choice to visit Al Aseel in Greenacre, the place where it all started. With several branches across Sydney now, it’s no wonder they continue to grow.nnHighly recommend this place for anyone seeking authentic, halal Lebanese food!
Beautiful interior, food is pretty good but it’s expensive for the portions and for the type of food it is. $14 for mocktails.
I visited this restaurant during Ramadan and opted for the Ramadan set menu. Initially, they forgot to provide spoons, but they brought them when we asked. While the food quality and taste were good, they fell short of being exceptional.nDespite traveling from Manly based on recommendations, I've had better Lebanese cuisine elsewhere!nThe dessert spread was generous with a variety to choose from. They also offered unlimited tea and coffee, with the coffee being enjoyable but the tea over-brewed and lacking in taste.nOne suggestion would be to serve filtered water in clear bottles instead of steel jars.
A wonderful experience with authentic Lebanese cuisine. Every dish was well-prepared, from the vine leaves to the kibbeh drizzled with olive oil. The hummus and baba ghanoush dips were fresh and delicious, adding to the overall enjoyment. The bread was fresh and complemented the flavorful meat skewers perfectly. The lime and mint drink was refreshing, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great dining experience.
