The ramen and food at this ajisen ramen compared to there other locations is the same - the thing I love about these restaurants is their consistency. Where this place succeeds is in their staff - incredibly friendly and not afraid to have a laugh amongst themselves and enjoy themselves. Loved the environment too - will be back for sure
Lots of good options, happy staff. The menu is on iPads which makes it easy to browse and you order through the iPad which is fantastic, you can see what your order will cost and is quick don't need to wait for a waitress to be free.
Lovely staff and convenient place to eat in Eastland. We had the gyoza ramen and a spicy pork ramen. Pork broth was creamy and noodles were just right. Ordering on an iPad was fun and convenient. Looking forward to trying more varieties.
The Ramen was beautiful with very friendly staff. The table side tablet ordering was a great idea so we could order extra drinks if we wanted. The restaurant has a nice warm atmosphere and with quite a few people it was still easy to converse without shouting.
Love the setting. Not too crowded and food is up to standard.
Wasn’t too keen on the city branch, but Eastland’s Ajisen Ramen is clean, the staff are friendly and the menu selection is great. Most importantly - the food is of acceptable standards and gets the Japanese taste closer than its city brethren. Recommended, especially if going to see a movie.
I love Aijsen Ramen! I've been eating at these franchise restaurants for years. My favourite dishes are the Tofu Ramen, Tofu Katsu, and the Chahan. The Eastland franchise is not as good as other AR I've been too. They are constantly out of stock of produce. One week Tofu dishes were not available another week the seafood curry. Very disappointing.
Professional and quick service. Tasty ramen and good portion sizes. You make your order on an iPad at the table it is then sent to the kitchen and you receive it shortly after. A great idea I think, greatly increasing efficiency and lets you modify your order to your liking. One critique I would give is when I tried the ramen with crab, the amount of actual crab was disappointing, mostly being full of crunchy bits from the fryer which go soggy very quickly in the broth. I have tried other ramens from this same Ajisen and they were much more generous.
Pretty good quality of food had one noodle and one curry rice. Single life but double room for food.
We have been here many times but tonight we were subject to a lady out the back continually yelling, banging things, slamming cupboards, smashing bottles, and making an unacceptable level of noise. It really ruined our experience. It's a shame because we usually like it here. Will think twice before coming back. A proper Japanese restaurant would NEVER be this disruptive to customers.
