Nice store I have visited in Lalor. I am Indian background but I like stuff they sell in store.nEvery week some special my children’s love it. Visit every week.
I do not encourage buying from this store. I bought Mahmoud rice the day before, and after arriving home, which is 45 minutes away from the store, I read the balance and saw that they charged me more than that. When I returned to them and confirmed the price, my words were correct. The important thing is that the workers I spoke to do not speak or understand anything except their mother tongue, and this thing is very bad. I gave the balance to the manager, who does not even understand English. He told me to go and get the bag so that I can be sure, and I gave him the balance so that he could see the difference. In the end, the workers and the manager, John, were treated like this. They called him, as I remember, it was bad. He did not even ask for forgiveness or apology from me. It is impossible for me to go back to shopping from them. Their service is zero
It’s been over three years since I moved to the north side of Melbourne, and this has been my go-to spot for Persian groceries, bread, Persian rice, and fresh meat. I come here every few weeks to stock up on the essentials we use daily, and they usually have everything I need. The butchers are always helpful, and the meat is fresh and reasonably priced.nThe owner is friendly and welcoming. Prices have gone up a bit in recent years, but that’s understandable with inflation and rising transport costs.nnOne small tip, though—make sure to check the expiry dates when you’re buying.nnOverall, this place is still one of my favourites. The quality, variety, and friendly service make it well worth visiting. They’ve definitely earned my 5 stars, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone in the area.
Each time I come to this store they say put an order for bread so it is ready when you come. I put an order for bread from the day before. I come on the day they say “sorry we had to give it to other customers who were in the store waiting for bread”. What is the point of putting an order when it isn’t even honored?! I had to wait over an hour to get bread because this store had the audacity to say to me that it doesn’t matter if you put an order or not they will do whatever they wish. It looks like they still think they live in Afghanistan! This store is the worst store to shop at! They have zero respect! This isn’t the first time I have had an issue here, it’s the fourth time. Given them enough chances! I will never shop there anymore! No one should, they need to learn customer etiquette and how to run a business!
You can find most Persian stuff, such as nuts, grains, tea, cakes, Carrot jam, Sour cherry jam, Pickles, Safran, Barbary, Date, and ….A wide range of meat and chicken is available. Fresh and good pastries. Good Persian bread Friendly and helpful staff.nnI bought meat was fresh.nnUnfortunately, I bought two lamb fry both were not fresh.
