Great location, large space to sit, wonderful interior….lot more to say We ordered skewers and polao with lamb shanks …look at the photos they are more tasty than how beautiful they look Serving lady was awesome…listen everything we asked for. Best Afghan restaurant in Dandenong for quality food. I got banquet 2, which was a 5 course meal that came with a bit of everything: dumplings mantu, Afghani traditional rice, chicken and lamb skewers, meatball kofta, borani banjan eggplant and gulab jamun with salad, naan and dips. I thought the best parts of the meal were the Afghani traditional rice, eggplant and chicken skewers. We received a massive amount of food and couldn't finish everything. It was a reasonably priced $45/person banquet. Individual mains are around $35/dish.
Since I've been in the area this place has been the best! Not only the food great, which is actually amazing! But the people who own and work there are superb. They would ask the right questions and provide good suggestions. If I wanted something that's not included in the suggestion they most of the time would give it for free like extra bread or rice! I took pics for my takeaway which was a delight.
Yummy tender Afghan Kebabs at @afghan_rahimi_restaurant got us drooling My mum actually took us out here since she doesn’t enjoy super spicy food and wanted something moderately healthy. We ordered the mixed kebab skewers which had lamb and chicken livers served with dips and naan. We also ordered the Afghans rice with mixed kebab skewers which came with kofta curry and two skewers to share. For $75, we were able to enjoy all of these kebabs and rice as the portions were quite good. Short trip to Melbourne over the holiday period - Dinner at @afghan_rahimi_restaurant on the way back from Mornington Peninsula! We got the banquet number 2 at 45$ per person. The food was absolutely delicious! . Entrée steam cooked Dumplings Mantu Afghani Traditional Rice Chicken Tikka and Lamb Backstrap skewers Borani Banjan Eggplant Meatball Curry Fried Fish, served with salad Naan bread Dips Chatni Baklava
I had never had Afghani food before so was sceptical when I booked but am so glad we did. Amazing food and great service. We had the banquet #2 for 5 people. Food was amazing, dumplings to start and fresh fluffy rice, meatballs and dips and the best eggplant I have ever had. Do yourself a favour and check it out. Thank you to the chefs for incredible food.
Everytime we order here we are not only satisfied but SO FULL! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! Honestly the kabuli pulao with lamb shank is SO FREEKING GOOD! and huge portion! 2 giant lamb shanks and heaps of rice! So tender definutly get the lamb karahi to go with it yumyumyum We ate so much we are in a food coma lol You get generous sides too! We already started eating so they look empty in the photo hahahhaha sorry!
We had banquet 2 for lunch. The interior looks so rich. Beautiful furnishings. Food was amazing. The kebabs were juicy. I loved the eggplant. Fried fish was ok. Kofta was good. The naan, yoghurt dip and another dip was fab. My husband loved the naan so much. We had to rush as we had parked the car for 1 hour only. But the servers were understanding and kind enough to pack our dessert and tea. If you love and want to try authentic Afghani place. This is the one! Thank you.
Delicious food,spacious and nice looking furniture. Service was warm and friendly. Had mixed skewers and lamb curry and bread. Will go back to try the other dishes.Food: 4/5
