We stopped by this cafe for a much-needed cuppa after our flight as it was located 300m from our hotel. The cappuccino I ordered was excellent, the cafe was comfortable, and service was friendly. It was the perfect welcome to the city. I do wish we could have tried the food as well as it looks delicious too.
Just enjoyed a delicious breakfast, with HUGE pieces of salmon through our breakfast. Extremely tasty food, coffee and friendly staff. Fully recommended!
We knew this place through grabone and this place is absolutely amazing for breakfast and brunch. With the grabone voucher, the price is soooo good as you only pay $15 for the $30 voucher. This place definitely become my regular place to go. Yummy food
Of all the times I've been there today was the first time I was a little disappointed. The meal was it's usual standard but the coffee was the let down. It felt as if it was made in the sun on a summers day in was not hot but warm at best.
Bought the grabone voucher as it was very cheap, went there for brunch and was blown away by how delicious the food was... The eggs beni is probably one of the best I've ever tried, and the full breakfast was very filling too. If you're not sure where to go for breakfast or brunch, come down to Affogate Cafe!!

Delightful, hearty, filling muesli. Made vegan by swapping yoghurt for oat milk Shredded coconut, nuts and seeds topped with a while bunch of seasonal fruit... yum! My friend enjoyed his french toast to the max! Large windows let lots of daylight in and give the interior a warm and cozy touch. Find inspiration by watching the busy outside life whilst sipping on a cup of coffee and enjoying your calm moment of self care. The furniture needed a slight redesign and the cabinet some more vegetarian / vegan options yet the granola is GREAT and a wonderful option. Will be back :
Cranberry chicken panini toasted was really good. Had the affogato, it was presented well. Little bit expensive in my opinion but worth the treat. The ice cream was very icy... But it kinda works, it almost becomes like a shaved ice/milkshake affogato. Usually affogato is silky smooth so yea...but it was great nonetheless. Coffee shot paired well
Popped into here today and wow, food was fab and looked so good tasty. Honestly one of the yummiest hot chocolates I've had from a cafe and my partner said the same about his mocha. Although there was no tables inside available outside was still lovely. Staff were so friendly and welcoming it was a really pleasant experience and recommend this place! Hope to visit again when we're over that side of town thanks!
The staff truly cares about customer’s experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Christchurch, highly recommended
