This was an experience that will be hard to beat. The dining staff, the rooms, the historic ambience and amazing rooms. Four individual cells made up our room a little luxury, that felt the history, confinement and excitement. The freedom to explore surroundings and the basement pool which I spent over an hour alone in was exquisite. But it was the syaff from the moment we checked in, the helpful, friendly, humorous nature and the warmth they all showed was unbeatable. Thank you to you all.
Amazing service .The staff kindly allowed us to check in an hour early, as we were travelling with our babynWe also experienced an issue with the heating in our room, but it was resolved while we were at the pool. By the time we returned, everything was working perfectly.nBreakfast & Pool 10/10
We booked a staycation to combine with a Saturday night event in Brunswick and ended up pleasantly surprised. I knew very little about the venue beforehand aside from Pentridge Prison’s recent notoriety, so we went in with open minds and left impressed.nnThe hotel sits right by the old Pentridge precinct, and there’s a little shopping centre you can reach in about two minutes from the lobby - depending on how many stops you make along the way to marvel where you are. It’s a great spot for a short wander — the whole area is steeped in history and you could easily spend a day exploring the prison grounds if you had the time.nnThe apartment itself was very nice. It was comfortable, fairly well appointed and with enough amenities to tide a family over for a weekend. We had a couple of small hiccups TV remotes and a balky balcony door, but reception sorted them out quickly. The windows and balcony doors are heavy double glazed, which made the room very quiet despite being next to a main road.nnWe didn’t try the bar or restaurant this time, but they’re classily decorated and keep the prison theme in a tasteful, renovated way. The rooms that were converted from cell blocks look very luxurious in photos and videos — they were fully booked the weekend we stayed, and it’s easy to see why. Personally I’m not sure I’d sleep in a former cell block, but the experience and finish looked amazing - all very tastefully done.nnWith mostly friendly staff, solid comfort and a location that’s more interesting rather than 'gimmicky'. It’s a good pick for a short city escape, especially if you want something a little different without sacrificing comfort. We’d happily stay again.
Checked into Adina Apartments Pentridge… voluntarily. Stayed in a prison cell… by choice. And honestly? Zero regrets.nnWe booked one of the original cell rooms and it is chef’s kiss. Those bluestone walls are the real star of the show – dark, dramatic, and dripping in history – but then you’ve got this luxe, cosy interior that makes you forget you’re technically sleeping where someone once did time.nnThe glow-up is unreal. From “doing hard labour” to “should I order another wine and never leave this bed?” nnThe room was quiet, very comfortable, and full of character without trying too hard. And the whole Pentridge precinct? Cool without being pretentious. Amazing food, great vibe, and just enough edge to make it feel like you’re somewhere a bit special.nnIf you like your getaways with a side of history, a dash of drama, and a whole lot of comfort… lock it in. We came, we stayed, we did not want to be released.
Love the style of the hotel, excellent price for the area close to all amenities we need for our trip. Rooms a large and clean and the pool and restaurant are very nice and well done
