Stayed for gather round. Excellent location with the tram around the corner taking you a 15min trip into town and also the other direction out to Glenelg. Facilities are modern & clean. Park felt secure and almost it's own little community. Sites vary between grass, concrete, sand or a combination of a couple so be wary when selecting a site. Would recommend and I'll be back.
My experience is with a tent site, but it's been a really nice place to stay.nnThere is a NO PEG policy that everyone missed on their emails, but there are weights placed around to secure awnings & tents.nnShowers are clean, but a bit tight if you're a larger build.nnThe place is very secure with pin codes required for all entry & exit points.nThe area is lit up until 10pm but then the city keeps things bright.nnBonus points for random fireworks displays from the Showground
Stayed multiple times over the last few months.nSuper handy location, especially when the tram is in operation to catch into the city.nEasy contactless check ins, ammenities modern and clean.nLarge nice sites and love the option to pick a site during the online booking.nOnly issue can be coming or too going when an event is on at the show grounds eg Sunday morning markets it can be a bit tricky getting in and out with your setup.
Very good location, excellent facilities. Clean and well maintained. Unfortunately $75 per night is quite a sting to the budget. When I think my bed on wheels costs me already $200 a day and then adding $75, that'd give me a nice CBD room.nnShowground spaces were always the affordable sites for everyone, and mostly are still. It surprises me that Adelaide Showgrounds charges as much as any other caravan park in town. Awe well, whatever. I suppose you just can.
Spent 3 nights here, came to see Chihuly exhibition in Adelaide Botanical Gardens, which was fabulous. Good clean, new showers, laundry and facilities. Tram line is very close, so it was very accessible to the city.
